The 2023 Rugby World Cup Thread 22:00 - Aug 16 with 44300 viewsKeithHaynes

Our very own RWC thread.

Ireland, Scotland, Wales and England will join 16 other nations as they compete for the ultimate prize in rugby – the Webb Ellis Cup – which was last won by the Springboks in 2019. The opening match of Rugby World Cup 2023 will see hosts France face three-time winners New Zealand on Friday 8th September. The final will take place seven weeks later on Saturday 28th October.

Going one of two ways.
Either Oz continue like that or we front up and play some rugby and means means not hoofing and hoping .
Female co commentator last night reach a new level ,a low one.
Excruciating

morning
Agree, watching the so called lesser teams thus far play should be a wake up call to us England and a lesser extant Scotland . Regarding Female commentators , much more preferable than listening to the droning of the only gay in the village Thomas , every time I see his mug I shiver inside, the mucky pup.

Hi.
I detest GT in every way .
I well remember his hysteria on Scrum V with Eddie Butt.
I feel all events now are featuring female pundits for signalling reasons
Sky cricket a perfect example .
What a loss Gower,Botham,Bumble etc

I’m not liking this World wide Fiji love in.

Saffas are good value for a wind up though on Facebook. Like Pavlov Dogs . I had an exchange with a Terblanche chap in the Western Cape.
Too much time on my hands

I can see it being a real scrap.

Austraila are weaker in forwards (particularly without Skelton) but the backs are very dangerous.

Options are to go out and try and win it or keep it tight, keep the ball away from the backs and stop them from getting 4 tries.

France were 54 pts up against Nambia and there idiot coach keeps there star man on knowing there is no point in risking him and guess what he gets injured at is now probably out of the tournament, this coach is ridiculous decision may very well have cost the French from becoming world champions.

To lose that many line outs and still come away with the victory is amazing.

Thought that was a poor decision at the death mind. Ball was out.

They must be favourites to win it now.

Swansea Indepenent Poster Of The Year 2021. Dr P / Mart66 / Roathie / Parlay / E20/ Duffle was 2nd, but he is deluded and thinks in his little twisted brain that he won. Poor sod. We let him win this year, as he has cried for a whole year. His 14 usernames, bless his cotton socks.

Really pleased to see the Irish prevailing, it was a ferocious game with no quarter given. Thought the ref favoured SA who are very cute with their off the ball obstruction.

Wouldn’t discount the South Africans winning it, if they’d had a kicker they’d have won.
