Luke Cundle has developed beyond any expectation at Swansea City on 01:27 - May 2 by Andyconky | He's been average with a couple of half decent games. He is however still young and has the potential to kick on! |
"still young" is something some posters seem to miss . The C/Ship is an unforgiving league and when you look at the average age of our squad including Cundle then it should be noted just how well they've performed this season

Luke Cundle has developed beyond any expectation at Swansea City on 09:03 - May 2 with 737 views | RichardO | Cundle has been quite good since he came to us good movement making space for himself in the gaps between the defensive line, nice he got his goal it has been a while coming but he has tried to drive into the box at time most memorably when he didn't show composure with his mistimed shot which fooled the defence and ran free for Cooper to slot home. Lack of composure or taking the wrong options not believing in himself, same could be said for Cooper at times as they gain experience at this level the more they will take the right options. Hope he comes back next season but in some respects we have players doing the same Cooper, Cullen and Walsh who offer similar and even a bit more. Good squad player to keep the strength in depth especially if some more talented players are more injury prone, fine balance trying to get a tackle right and not leaving yourself open to injury, again descions gained by experience. Cannot build a squad solely on loan players and too many would be a mistake but one or two used correctly would gain experience and development for themselves and the team in general, although the same could be said for our own youngsters, maybe some of our loaned players can return to bolster the team and were send out to develop and not just to be discarded to reduce the wage bill.

I agree , they're certainly becoming more confident with the ball at their feet , I would still like to see someone who's capable of actually running with the ball an art seemingly lost to a lot of teams. An interesting statistic , our average squad age under Martin is 24 years , during our PL days has our squad age then was 28 years , so maybe more experience was the order of the day

Shame but we cannot rely on Walsh, there is a great player in there but far too injury prone. Agree re loans, we can't have too many, would rather develop our own but with the young age of our squad we need experienced player but they come at a cost, I'm hoping that Kyle Joseph will come back and be used as I rate him, he is similar to whittaker and im sure hehas a far better attitude, well it can't be that hard can it.

Agreed about the age of the squad maybe it won't be a good idea to having so much youth but then again with a couple of experienced players guiding them, early with Wood and Darling with the help of Naughton they started to bed in but Martin went away from that swapped the team around to rebuild what was already in place.

" his mistimed shot" disguised pass surely. To have the ability and confidence to play that ball was a thing of beauty ðŸ‘ðŸ‘😉

Long may those cleverly disguised well thought out moves carry on creating chaos in the opposition penalty area, nothing like a beautifully planned deflection either. Pressure creates errors surprisingly you have to force teams to make mistakes or is it just making our own luck.🤞ðŸ»ðŸ™
