Alan Nixon on twitter: Manchester City. Morgan Rogers will head back from loan at Bournemouth. Lack of game time. Scramble to take him elsewhere now … worth the chase.

Other news, Swans reportedly turned down two bids from QPR for Paterson. Would they match the requried fee, I hope we can still get the deal for scott fraser over the line in time.
Scott Fraser, has his issues of his own, but still a couple of years younger and avalaibe for a lesser fee than we would paterson let go for.

Strangely quiet over the last few days, is this the calm before the storm or is everything sticking up - with 8 out of the door already (& that’s not including Pato, Dhanda or Cooper!) & only 4 back in feels like we definitely need a minimum of two in for me.

Def two coming in at least.
A great believer in taking anything you like to wherever you want to.

Funny how people don’t seem to rate scott fraser. I read the same articles and got my doubts. But je performed well at MK dons.
These reactions remind me when we announced Paterson. No good record for the previous seasons, and look at how he performed the past 4 months.
I would be glad to see Scott Fraser as a replacment for Paterson. There is surely some potential, and for this season we got Wolf and Ntcham so no worries if he struggles to make an impact immediatly.

I would love to see Brandon Cooper go to the MLS with DC United on loan. If I was 21 again I would see a season in the US would be a huge opportunity. For one thing I am unsure how the standards compare. I believe Paul Arriola for example is a quality player. Sniffy Swansea fans do not see him anywhere near the first XI.
Based on this attitude Brandon Cooper would walk into the DC United side. The other benefit is that the US season is a summer season like the RoI so Brandon would get game time until late October and this season will not be seen as time lost.
MLS is ion free to air TV as well at least it was last season on Freesports TV. I would enjoy seeing Dhanda and Brandon impressing out there.
US ownership is good for Swansea city and synergies should be used.

The difference is that Paterson has played almost all his career at Championship level, while Fraser's highest level of competition was a season in the Scots Prem 6 years ago. He's in his peak years and is managing to have a decent period at League One level.
Paterson was a free transfer on a low wage, and surprised people. Expecting that to be the norm is asking for trouble, especially when you're paying fees and competing with other clubs. Liam Walsh was "the Merseyside Messi" for Coventry in that league, barely gets a kick for us and quite right to be honest.

Walsh might be the type of player who needs s run of games to get in the groove. He looks like a classic Swansea player to me. He may simple be rusty as that shocking pass v Southampton indicates. Another that could go to USA or RoI for much needed game time if he does not kick on before March.

Finley Burns to sign when we already have Cooper makes absolutely no sense to me.
He belongs to Man City so he must be better than everything we have, innit. 18 and 1 senior game under his belt, great move for him to develop. They spent a lot of money on him as a nipper, should see a terrific return if we put the effort in.
Best case he comes in as cover so Cooper can go play. Right-footed so unlikely to replace Manning on the left.

I know where you are coming from. The financial logic if Cooper goes on loan which is getting increasingly certain again just makes absolutely no sense. It’s almost as if the current incumbents at Swansea want to rid us of everything the academy has produced.

If we showed half the faith and patience with our own kids as we do those of PL academies, we might actually justify the talk of us being a club that values its academy. Just Cabango and Cullen over nearly 3 years, and the former has had to fight tooth and nail past a series of loanees. It took multiple covid cases for Cooper to get a run of games, vanished from sight ever since.
Most fans seem to love it, though. Thrilled to get a fashionable badge as a new signing, aghast at the thought we might have kids on the bench. I remember well the meltdowns on here when Rodon was set to start a game for us. He wasn't even listed on the first team page of the website!
Mark Allen was in charge at City when they spent £175k on 13 year old Burns.

My opinion for what its worth is that we've had more than enough issues with "some" this season already, for one reason or other, I don't want to see another player who has been disruptive, argumentative elsewhere coming here and he's got previous with Martin who then sold him when the opportunity to do so arose, he may have talent, but those talents are outweighed by attitude, not for me.

So we've gone from a player who has proved himself to be a quality player to another youngster, because we can't muster a fee/package to buy Darling, all things its pretty much usual fair for us.
