Can't see him staying as there will be the clubs coming down who might lose players and he as shown what he can do Just think Jo Jo will bea fond memory and enjoyed what he did for us

Agreed never thought there was a chance JoJo would stay. Obviously hope he does been superb. On a positive note Chair did a pretty good impression of him setting up our second today.

But does he want to go back? "Jo jo,come and help us get promoted so we can drop you again when we make it"??

Indeed. As Warburton remarked today, "Our style of play suits Stefan Johansen and Stefan Johansen undoubtedly suits our style of play". | | | | Login to get fewer ads

On the pitch arguably yes

Stefan johansen. on 08:38 - May 9 with 4074 views | NorthantsHoop | He has been pure quality in midfield. The complicated things he does simply a joy to watch. It is a long time since we had a central midfielder running things like he does. Also I really rate Sam Field and he perfectly compliments Johansen in the midfield. Fingers crossed they both stay, but it will be a tough one to keep Johansen.
Stefan johansen. on 09:11 - May 9 with 3976 views | eastside_r | Yes, definitely this. I am not sure what the best analogy is. A vital cog in the wheel? The fulcrum providing the balance? I know it is difficult to compare over time but......great others players in the team but what would the early 90’s team have been without Wilkins, what would the promotion team have been without Derry. Sometimes you just need that guy holding the whole thing together. I think that he is potentially that good and that important for us to move onwards (and upwards?) I really, really hope we can keep him.

If their view is shared by Fulham, we need to forget Johansen as there is no way we can compete with them financially. Looks like it'll be LTC backed up by Field...

You can add Don Masson to that too.

Probably Field and Amos backed up by LTC if Stef doesnt return.

Would love to see Amos return and realise his potential but as we so tragically saw with Ale Faurlin, players rarely are quite the same again after they come back from a cruciate injury.
Stefan johansen. on 10:36 - May 9 with 3768 views | francisbowles | He will be going back to his Fulham contract. Our absolutely most important and undoubtedly hardest recruitment task, is trying to find and employ someone who can do a similar job for us.

I think you're all being overly pessimistic! I think there's a better than decent chance that we'll land him and all 3 of the other loanees as well. Everyone loves being loved, and I think we've done a pretty good job of letting them know we love them. Plus, I'm sure the lure of a promotion push will be pretty strong to resist.

Think people are being realistic not pessimistic, he's under contract at Fulham with a year to go and reportedly on something around 25 to 30k per week, who knows exactly, Fulham have been paying some very high wages in the last 2 or 3 years. Personally I would love to see him back, he is pure class and has helped us look like a top 6 side since January. Fulham have a team full of loanees , the majority will return to their parent clubs and they will reassess their squad, Johanson has got them promoted twice before and he's their player to keep. In other words it's highly unlikely he will be released, if he was he would cost a transfer fee and a big wage which we can't afford......like everybody else I'm disappointed but we will have to look elsewhere.
