Any empty seats in Y block tend to be season ticket holders not turning up , the season tickets in there for this campaign sold out in december 2018 & there is currently only one left for next season , As for saying the walk up price is £19 , even for Stoke in a storm there was only one ticket on sale by last friday for Y block so if buying in there i would suggest buying in advance . It may be possible to buy in there on matchday for a midweek game or fixtures like Barnsley & there are a few for Derby next tuesday night .

Here’s a idea each game the club say here’s 1k tickets various parts of the ground sold at say a 7.50 off the normal price for that seat , no booking fee either , can’t be pre booked only walk ups if they are sold remains seats go on sale for face value or dicounted if you buy 2 tickets for that game
I don't know if we include absent season ticket holders in our attendances, but I'm convinced some do. For instance Stoke aren't getting anywhere near 22k each week. My mate works there and he says there thousands of empty seats each week

Ageing and shrinking...absolutely, I’m down an inch and a half since I was 18.
If walk up prices were the same more people would delay purchasing, till they made an on the day decision based on weather, do I feel like it, are friends going, what was the last result and I'll avoid the booking fee.
The club would find it harder to estimate numbers coming and therefore make operational arrangements with catering and security partners as well as their own staff.

I see Brentford and Fulham in the top 2 for highest percentage of attendances compared to capacity.
With so many clubs in and around West London, I fear where how we will attract new fans and keep the next generation of coming. As horrible as it is people would much rather go to watch Brentford in a new stadium or Fulham, plus you also have the issue which is Chelsea who will always pull alot of fans.
Yes we have a loyal bunch but it is evident our core fan base is a higher age and that only means as time goes on the fan base will decrease, we don't have lots of 13-25 around.
What the club is doing in the community is great and will help but speaking to alot of youngsters in the area that only ensures QPR are their '2nd club' and they look out for their results
Interesting that Brentford's new ground will still have a lower capacity to what ours is now but Luton's new ground will hold 25,000, mainly because it will also host other sports and entertainment events. That will mean that we will have, apart from Brentford, the smallest capacity in the league. But then you look at Fulham and Chelsea on the doorstep. Are we really going to attract another 4-5000 people on a regular basis where we are? Probably not. Could we attract 18-21,000 if we continue to improve and play this type of football? Perhaps sometimes.
For me it really is about how many fans are we ever going to get given who's on the doorstep. I very much doubt Linford Christie Stadium will transpire. I still feel Loftus Road could be redesigned and updated to hold 20/21,000 on the footprint it is on. That would be the cheaper option over the next 10 years. We still have major train lines and some parking in the area. What would make sense is the training facilities being vastly updated and perhaps a 3-5,000 capacity stand there for people to watch U23s etc as part of the season ticket price.
