Like it or not, and believe me, I don’t, he’s the democratically elected leader of Her Majesty’s Opposition.
It’s not for the army to decide who they do and don’t accept in that position. They are apolitical. If they start to think it matters who they like and who they don’t like, we end up in a military dictatorship. In a few short months they could be taking orders from the person they’re shooting at. I hope they’re not, but it’s a very real possibility. It’s not their place to question those orders or the person giving them if and when they come.
The actions of those pictured are utterly unprofessional and an insult to their uniform.
They should be unceremoniously booted out. And yes, I would say the same if it was Farage, or for that matter Johnson. | | | |

I do have some sympathy for the soldiers involved, because they may shortly have to go through the trauma of claiming universal credit and will very possibly like many other veterans end up homeless, sleeping rough and relying on charity. Unless of course Corbyn becomes PM. |  |
