I've never known a "dignitary" to leave a group of people (of all political pursuasions) as completely united in the belief that he was a f*cking idiot as Geraint Davies did.
Quite some achievement.
Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back.

I’ve always thought you were a few sandwiches short of a picnic
There could be a General Election very shortly and there’s s good chance that Labour will win the next election
Their Chancellor will be most probably be a certain John McDonnell
I would suggest you read an article in how John McDonnell is leading the rebirth of British Marxism
There are many videos that you can watch in him saying that the country must change to Marxism
So don’t tell me that Marxism is dead because of the Cold War
It will be very much to the foe if Labour is elected to power
Awwwww...
Sit down, don’t worry there really is no need to be so paranoid. Have a cup'of tea and reminisce of times gone by. Im sure it will be ok VB, the Marxists won’t come and get you. Keep believing ...You’ll get your right wing instead. Lol.

Tell me what posting have I used “attack”
Trident is accepted by most as a deterrent weapon to stop nuclear wars
You used in the post I was responding to, ffs.
Thing is, people of your generation have been ruled by fear. A bit like my folks. It’s your default position, to be frightened and believe all that scare mongering. It’s how they’ve controlled you. The language used and learnt by those subjected to it over a period of time, the news stories and censorship (lack of truth) both instills that fear and the natural response from you is fear, and then your controlled to think and vote in a very narrow frame. It’s all so predictable because it’s always the same. It’s about keeping it the same!
There is the possibility of positive change on the horizon as Brexit and other events are eye openers. More and more younger people now have a political view and are acting on it. Brexit has certainly helped in that regard. IMO that’s a good thing, getting more engaged in politics. I’m hopeful that the old way of thinking, doing things will be finally consigned to the past.
It’s time our politics in this country grew up, modernised and is transformed into something suitable for our society going forward into a new positive era. I think that time is coming.

These young people of today
Uneducated
No ambition
Would run away if a war broke out
No thanks
I’m glad, very glad I have lived in an era that I have lived in
Wouldn’t give a thank you for what’s in front of you

Young people are uneducated. Hmmm. Some are. I’m a parent and I can relate in some ways to that. However, there’s a tinge of nostalgia and ignorance that comes with that. It’s just a different time old timer. They're educated in different ways and as I employ and work with mainly educated and younger people I do have disagree with what you say. In my experience, they bring new ideas, new thinking.
Young people have no ambition? Errrr. Ok.
War... did our soldiers run away in Iraq or Afghanistan? They weren’t 40/40/60/70 year olds were they. Your a complete and utter disgrace if that’s what you think.
You have to be happy with it, like I’d imagine most are...as it’s their reference point.
Kids have always been the same but again some are ignorant, but then, I’d blame the parents.

An independent Wales cannot stay in EU because there is no independent Wales; Wales is in EU atm because UK is. Same for Scotland, something the SNP seem too simple minded to understand.
Independent Wales would need to make a fresh application to EU with no guarantee it would be accepted. Losing the UK, a net contributor, can't see EU wanting more nations who take more than give.
Scotland will be independent sooner rather than later.

My type of poll this. Yes for independence, wales is leaving the wrong union we need to leave the UK, an independent wales within the eu may not be perfect but it's a million times better than being an afterthought of the english nationalist tories. Scotland first then us. Dal dy dir, yma o hyd pawb.
This. Big demo in Cardiff may the 11th if you are intrested?

What the feck are you on about ?
Wales has the natural resources to be as successful as any number of smaller European nations. renewable energy self sufficient in 10 years.
The UK is not an equal union. As a result Wales is the poorest part of Western Europe despite being just 3 hours from the richest part... London. Wales and Scotland totally ignored on Brexit.
Contrast the Irish Republic, part of the EU and fuly engaged and supported on Brexit.
Wales is an extraction economy for Englands benefit.
Why the feck does Wales contribute to HS2, Heathroew Expansion, HoL’s, CrossRail, illegal wars, £205 billion on Trident, east coast rail - we are the poorest nation in western Europe.
Political gold for an independent wales and scotland to rejoin the EU.
Look up Stockholm Syndrome. You are not little snivelling Alun Cairns, are you ?

Wales really is missing a huge trick with renewables, but we have Welsh Labour in charge in the assembly, and the Tories in Westminster. Between a rock and a hard place springs to mind.

They don't need to attack us with nuclear weapons when they've got the political system wrapped around their little finger. They can cause far more damage sponsoring movements to convince feckwits that massive political instability is somehow in our own interest.
Or just turn are gas off?

Actually wouldn’t staying in The European Union be the thing that would be the same. An ongoing comfort blanket that has existed for the overwhelming majority’s whole lives / whole adult lives.
And remember it is those you are demeaning, that overwhelmingly voted to keep us in the European Community in its fledgling days when there was major opposition and significant campaigning against (especially from the left) within the ruling Labour Party
Still I look forward to a new positive era, where people are treated as individuals, can respect each other’s opinions and have better arguments than resorting to abuse and trite stereotypes.
Juncker denies a European Superstate, despite desire for ever closer union, plans for a bigger EU budget, continued expansionist policies, strong support (along with Germany and France’s plans) for an EU army, and his dream of a directly-elected president of the EU. All the while alliances of different interest groups continue and grow stronger within mainland EU members.
Youth are indeed very important, however one very important example of that in Europe shows us balance is best. That can only be achieved by listening to and respecting each other and not pretending there are not serious long and short term pros and cons to most highly complex political solutions.

“Youth are indeed important”
I agree
But if the EU thought youth was important
Then why is youth unemployment going through the roof in many EU countries

Chad. Why on earth do you keep posting war and fe king peace! Try to be succinct and to the point. It just mostly hot air and a borefest!
Change is good no doubt. EU will change as we are leaving. IMO we'd be better off being leaders within the EU, Shape and influence that future both within the EU and outside it. That is what the UK is good at. Not being a small time inward looking nation.
As things are the reputation of our nation is not good!

Please explain how the English economy is bailing out Wales and by how much.
valleyboy
The 50 million English people would love the Scottish, Welsh and Northen Ireland to go
They would have much more to spend in England
Between the 3 countries I mentioned. The English economy is bailing out those countries by about £40 billion per year. ********************************************************* You didn't answer this question valleyboy - Please explain how the English economy is bailing out Wales and by how much.

The reputation of our nation is so terrible that millions of people from around the world are risking life and limb to try and get here.
The creatures outside looked from pig to man, and from man to pig, and from pig to man again; but already it was impossible to say which was which.
