Do these articles mean it's off? Government reviews into the scheme...

Shame if so...

I think it means there are questions to be answered, as the progress has been described as “disappointing”.

As I suspected, once the tidal lagoon and rail electrification shaped rug had been pulled from underneath the development plan, the whole thing has started to unravel.

I hope I’m wrong, but I think the government has torpedoed the city deal almost at launch.

city deal is completely independent of tidal lagoon and rail elec isn't it? If anything's at risk won't it just be this health village?

WAG probably decided that Caeerdiff isnt expanding fast enough, and they need to divert all available funds there instead.

I would say “separate” rather than “independent”, as independent implies no relationship at all.

Much like the legs of a table are separate, but not totally independent.

Basically 3 big infrastructure projects were promised to be coming to Swansea, and then the gov pulled the funding for 2 of them, citing bad value for money, or not worth the returns! This is not exactly a huge boost for investor confidence is it?!

The funding was completely independent, not separate . Electrification would have been nice, but the lagoon a disaster.

I hope this isn't the end of the bay deal, and I know the chief executive of Carms Council wants the wellness village to be the first development.

Swansea council need to up their game though. Welsh government are very nervous about them being able to deliver.
