We all understand that cuts need too be made, we also realise when people are taking the piss.

We all want a successful team, the fans for pride, you lot for financial gain.

Now do the decent and correct thing, give Potter a chance, get 3/4 players in that will slacken the burden on Potter, the young squad and the 1/2 experienced pros in the squad who have to guide the young squad.

In words, stand up and get your hands out of your pockets and show a little intent and ambition, we dont ask for trees to be moved just some backing towards Potter, he will do the work for the little you provide.

Us fans have faith it Potter, you should show some in him as Well.

Thankfully the ones in charge absolutely have more faith in the manager and squad as like me, certainly think we are better than relegation material.

so you think our squad is safe from relegation as it stands ?

There is no transfer profit.

If you have £150k of outgoings this coming year. Sold 50k of stock.

That wouldn’t be 50k you could spend and claim as profit.

If they have redirected any funds I would be furious, but don’t believe they have. I see very little point in getting yourself worked up and creating a negative cloud on low percentage speculation based on nothing.

Unless you have access to the clubs current financial situation how would you know?

They could develop but imo do need some experience/leaders on the pitch for support. At the moment I'd say lower mid-table but looking more to the bottom than the top

We all know what happens in this league. Lose VDH , or McBurnie to injury and we are stuffed. The squad needs 17 decent players at least to compete over what will be a 50 game season. The spine of the side needs reinforcing from back to front. It could be argued Bony will help but I think he'll be gone once he's fit.

I'd say we maybe just as it stands. However you can drop like a stone in this division especially with youngsters who's heads can drop.

Why take the risk of struggling again though!? For the sake of a few strategic loan signings!!

We are in the unknown at the moment, youngsters don't always improve, and can drift into lower leagues etc,

At the moment we only have faith in GP, but the signs from the club so far aren't very positive.

The Yanks want their £69m back.

It was a one way bet - they knew if we were relegated could sell our best players and players on highest wages and bank parachute money and get their money back.

If we stayed in the PL hoped that TV money would have increased - as then could have flipped club.

No downside and all upside.

They did make a big mistake on Jenkins bringing a crocked Bony back - through Jenkins network of contacts and agents.

This has cost them a bit.

I cannot see how anyone can defend these Yanks, the chairman and previous owners. The sale of the club was, in the words of 'Beaky'(love that😆)"to take us to the next level",well that hasn't happened! From what I have seen there's been no investment, lots of players bought/sold at a loss(???)the squad is certainly weaker since they took over, fans aren't happy(apart from Res and E20), and they won't even invest for loan players! So what was the point of the sale for SCFC? I wonder what Beaky's answer would be to that...

...in the meantime, they're selling f#cking hotdogs on the concourse!

The Trust thought we were going to stay in the PL ad infinitum - instead of doing what they had been set up to do in respect of protecting professional football in Swansea.

No transfer profit? I look at it this way, at the end of every tax year they present the accounts. If the accounts show a loss or profit that's how you start next year. In January we made roughly 22 million profit and, depending on the end of year accounts (does anybody know?) we made a profit or loss.
If......IF we were in profit after last season we are massively in profit from transfers this season, plus of course the 40 million parachute payment.
Then we take wages into account, we know the wage bill has been massively cut by 13 players on EPL wages, the players coming in possibly not earning as much jointly as the Ayews got, maybe even just Andre's wage.
The 40 million is apparently (so I was told yesterday) only to be spent on wages, it can't be used for transfers or an owners dividend, I would love to know what our wage bill currently is? We know Bony is on around 120kp/w or 6 million per year then there's Naughton, Routledge, Dyer and Van Der Hoorn. The average bill last season was allegedly 27k per week so I'd suggest the wages of those players is around 15 million combined but obviously I can't be sure. That leaves quite a bit of room.

Just my opinion, but WTF do I know anyway?

I have faith in Potter and the squad too as do most on here, but as most on here have pointed out we need squad depth for when players get injured or aren't 100% fit to play like Mcburnie, Fer, Montero & Bony currently are. We need depth for when players either have drop in form or are just having an off day so you have an alternative, sometimes the best thing for a player is to be dropped or subbed off for a certain game where the opposition style of play doesn't suit them ie Birmingham so not to affect there confidence, playing 3,4, or 5 bad games in a row can wreck a player. Nobody wants us to go back to the dark financial days of the past but we are severally lacking depth and in CM & forward positions & without improvement there no matter how great a job I know Potter and the current players can do, we will struggle to be at the higher end of the table. If we were supposedly in for woods at around 6m but the goalposts were moved by either us or them, surely we can afford at least 3 loan signings or was the supposed bid for woods a PR stunt to make it look like we wanted to buy but other teams wanted more than players are worth when in actual fact we never had intentions to spend more than what we have already.

Sadly you’d be suprised how naive / ignorant many of our fans are. Spoke to one yesterday who thought the Yanks had put money in to buy several players last season, so thought it was fine if they want to sell them to get their money back. Incredible. Oh and E20 is not a fan he’s a WUM.

We need 3/4 experienced players a dogged midfielder who will tackle all match and pass it simply. A CF and CH for back up or to replace either. This is a minimum required for us to have a good season(top 10) on what i have witnessed.

Someone stated that youngsters inexperience will show, our captain made a schoolboy error against Leeds and struggled after, our midfield was spanked yesterday with players having the ball taken off them and us having no way of retrieving.
Do the decent and correct thing, give Potter a chance,

Ignore E20, he is just a first class bellend.

What is happening is indefensible and anyone who questions someone that is calling it out is either a wum, dull or just plain ignorant.

All I am calling for is a little help in getting some players in, bargain hunting maybe, I am sure Potter and his team are aware of a few cheap gems from the Scandinavia leagues.

Dont shoot the messenger guys, but I was told last night according to someone from within the club, that as it stands there is no one else in the pipe line this window after the loan signing of Spurs lad.
Maybe if Dyer, Narsingh & Routs do all move on that may change.
I bloody hope so anyway, because if not really feel we'll be in trouble.

I I do not see how we can gloss over the reasons why we find ourselves in this mess but understand why you want toas you still believe the sun shines from a certain persons poster is and refuse to admit how he is now toxic to the club.
Apparently according to members of the trust who have acces to and understand the accounts there is some "room" for player investment without putting further financial burden onto the club. So why is it not being done.
We still have a high wage bill in the management structure with our chairman and ceo.....plus the match day expenses surrounding those in the directors box.
This is akin to a struggling manufacturing business releasing its most skilled and experienced workers to reduce cost whilst still supporting a heavy managerial structure which does little to add value to the business from a product perspective which in turn provides the income.
Whilst the club has secured income from season ticket sales a failure to provide entertaining and winning football will see the crowds fall off on match days resulting in less money spent in the bars etc with a further decline in income.
As said earlier it appears they are some funds to allow some loan deals and as long as this does not increase our financial burden I believe we need to strengthen. No I don't want us to continue with financial mismanagement so why would you want to gloss over why we are where we are and why the architect of that situation is being allowed to carry on at he helm and take such a high salary

We need to gloss over it because it is not the discussion and would take over the thread.

Hi all means start a thread regarding the faults of last season - but this is about why we aren’t spending this season. If the reason is evause there is no money, then regardless of who’s fault it is - that is the reason.

Faith? As I said before, you are busy sticking up for HJ (and by default the owners) you are showing yourself to be.......well I don't do insults......Warwick, help me out!!!!

E20 claims to worry about our financial state, well faith in the squad and manager is fine but as we saw against Birmingham and then yesterday, we are so thinly spread and brittle it's worrying. Fer can't do it all on his own, if we lose 3 players to injury, illness or suspension we are in deep schitt!! Take out McB, VdH and Fer for any length of time and we'll drop quicker than you can say flockynockynihilipilification.......if we are fighting relegation on the back of this wanton neglect, crowds will drop and so will income, if we go down season ticket sales will plummet (which they are likely to do anyway as many may only have renewed in the hope of staying up and won't bother next season anyway and income from other sources (tv) will plummet again too.
Not making proper, reasonable investment in the squad now is simply negligent. Like others, I'm not asking to sign players who want miillions but we can all see how weak our midfield is and the pressure that puts on the rest of the team.

I’m not sticking up for anyone other than the club.

I don’t do vendettas.
