Let's be honest on 13:04 - Apr 4 with 1615 views | Antti_Heinola | Look, if we have players playing super-well, we will probably lose them. That is literally the same at every single club bar about 5 on earth. There's no point in hand-wringing about it now. Let's just enjoy the fker while he's playing well, shall we? And remember there was a time that we were all convinced we'd lose a teenage Langley to Spurs and it never happened. I'm so excited about Eze, I can't be bothered to worry about when he'll leave me. I mean, leave the club. Sorry.

Let's be honest on 09:54 - Apr 4 by stevec | Don't tell the Green Party, we'll never get a fork in the ground. Regards Eze, you'd hope he stays and develops here. Was recently watching a late night programme on London Live (no gangsters involved, believe it or not) about various individuals day trading on the stock market. A couple of lads from down here making the long journey up to East Lancashire to discuss investing money for a certain wealthy individual, to the tune of 100k for starters. In through the gated drive to a beautiful house and lo and behold, Leon Best opens the front door. Gives you some idea why even terminal wastes of space don't hang around too long, who needs a successful career in football, bench warming is where it's at. |

Fortunately he was acquitted and we let him go.

Let's be honest on 16:34 - Apr 4 with 1483 views | kensalriser | Eze's still very raw at this level on the evidence of Monday's game. Because Norwich were mostly attacking down our right with Murphy they weren't taking advantage of the space on our left. Scowan had quite a word with him after one incident when he literally just stood there as an attack came past, leaving Bidwell with a job on his hands to clear the danger. Similar lack of awareness from Manning at times too, particularly one time on the edge of our area in the second half.

Let's be honest on 11:21 - Apr 4 by Northernr | He renewed his contract last January until summer 2019. As he was an U23 then and no loan spells at that point I suspect we'll be putting a new one under his nose very shortly - as we did twice in quick succession with Manning. To the original point, and with the Swiss Ramble thread in mind, once the parachute payment ends at the end of next season the only way we will be able to sustain ourselves at this level is by regularly selling players for decent money. Buying low and developing our own, selling high, and then repeating, and repeating as often as possible. It's no bad thing if we've got players other teams want to buy, it's going to be absolutely crucial to our survival in 18 months' time. |
Agree to an extent but there is a balance to be struck if the first team is to be successful otherwise we become nothing more than a feeder club. Furthermore we need the new training facilities in place to improve our chances of repeating. On the subject of Eze, interesting to see that he's only contracted until Summer 2019. The pressure on the club to sell this summer will rise if they fail to extend in the coming months. Hopefully Eze will decide that at 19 he has time on his side and QPR is the best place to continue his football education in the medium term.
