Team for Saturday 21:35 - Mar 7 with 8077 views | FalingeParka | Using the whole squad will surely become more and more a necessity as we attempt this mountain climb. There will be injuries, niggles not able to be overcome etc. and everyone no doubt will play a part, succeed or fail. But, for Sat, I'd have Wiseman back for Delaney, maybe Kitching for Inman and leave it there. Andrew being again doubtful a blessing?

Team for Saturday on 22:00 - Mar 7 by TVOS1907 | Wiseman and Delaney play two different roles, plus one is right-footed and the other left-footed! |
But that could still work.. have mcnulty move to lcb, with harrison playing central..

Why do you want to change shape from one that has seen a run of good performances?

Team for Saturday on 23:17 - Mar 8 by FalingeParka | Not quite what I meant, as I suspect you know, with all respect. Playing through a traditional number nine, no matter how good he is, has not been the way we finally got out of League Two, or had success since, is it? [Post edited 8 Mar 2018 23:44]

You’ve answered your own question while ignoring the fact Calvin performed well last season - a season we did rather well. [Post edited 9 Mar 2018 13:29]

Calvin has improved a lot and has been heroic at times this season and last. Even been the best defender at times. That shows you the balance is all wrong. In KH's reign(s), we've been at our best without a target man, that's all.

We played some of our very best football under Hill with CoG in the team, he was somewhat of a targetman. A beautiful footballer of a targetman, but still a targetman.

Ha! Well yes, great point, I suppose CoG was a targetman, though at the time I never thought of him in that way, more as just an exceptional footballer with a complete all round game who could fit into any style of play. Great CA close to fitness, and he will play a big part in the next 2 months no doubt. Just for now though, I think he should be on the bench.

For me, having two options gives us a better chance to stay up. Fwiw, I agree we are usually a better team when we keep it on the deck and try to "out-football" our opponents. That style drew many plaudits over the 2 games with Spurs. That being said, it does no harm to have a plan B up our sleeve and if we need to change our approach to a more direct one, we have that alternative available. Let's also not forget that Calvin is not just a target man. Many a time he's taken the ball out wide and put a belting cross in. That's not even touching on his defensive abilities (especially corners, where he's rarely beaten) but as others have pointed out, it's goals which will keep us up in this campaign.

Team for Saturday on 20:18 - Mar 9 with 1633 views | boromat | We've always had the option of the out ball O'Grady, Vincenti, Calvin. And it works being able to switch it up at times. Against Rotherham who from memory are a big team we'll need some physicality whether that is with Calvin coming back in or not. I'd be keeping the same back 5. Maybe bring Kitching back in for inman. If Calvin is fit he's an option instead of Humphrys.
