So Called Proven Managers 09:49 - Dec 29 with 4618 views | STID2017 | Hodgson (Palace) - 16th Moyes (West Ham) - 17th Pardew ( West Brom) -19th Even Eddie Howe , the next England Manager would-be is languishing at 18th. Of all the names posters have put on here over the last few weeks as suggested new managers, only Big Sam is proving successful elsewhere, and he has suffered more derision than anyone else suggested as our manager. An manager untried in the PL is worth a shot and can do no worse than PC has done this season. Also seems the type of guy to give the players the kickstart they need and show some passion

TBH I advocated for a change after West Ham, but even Brighton would have been better than leaving it until our annual Christmas turnaround. So many awful things happening in the real world, football offers my only light relief (shoot me now! )

However many they have gained, they haven't followed Leicester and Everton and flown up the table. Two defeats, plus Zaha sold in January, will see yhem back in the bottom three. They were almost beaten by a Swansea side recently, who are thought by some to be the worst in the division. Can't be that good can they ?

So Called Proven Managers on 10:24 - Dec 29 with 4454 views | Kennedy | Everton were in a false position anyway. Leicester have got some good players and spent a fortune compared to others. I rather get relegated than employ one of the 'get you out of trouble managers' they usually wreck a club.

Our club is wrecked already, so it wouldn't ave made much difference. Our players were/ are too gutless to have had an easy time under Pulis, so they'd have been on strike within weeks. Personally, I don't rate Moyes as a manager anyway. Fat Sam would have had Beaky committing suicide. Or vice versa once Fat Sam found out he can have Adomah and Ngog Have to give Carvalhal 10 games to see what's what. Doesn't mean that we can't support the team and not give Beaky sh1t though.

So Called Proven Managers on 10:39 - Dec 29 with 4378 views | MrSwerve | Sorry but Hodgson has worked wonders at Palace. They were looking more in the sh!t than us at the start of the year, but have seemingly got out of danger at the moment. Before yesterday they were unbeaten in 8 I believe? And gave Arsenal a good game. It’s all very close at the bottom. Hell, by some miracle turnaround that Carlos could give us, a few draws and wins and we would be out of the relegation places.

I'd like to see some of the kids given a chance against Wolves - Dan James and Byers for a start, and Sanches starting in an attacking role.

He has. There would have been carnage on here if we had appointed him though.

For us last year with Gylfi and Llorente read Wilf and Benteke. Perfect for Woy Ball

If he finishes 16th this season he should be in contention for the manager of the season award, they were buried before he took over. They were in a far worse situation than us which is saying something. The idiocy some on here show is astounding.

That's not quite right though. They were rooted to the bottom of the table but they had a group of quality players to get them out of it. I stated on a thread that no way they'd go down. All they needed was a manager to get the best out of them. They'll be mid table at worst.

Hodgson wouldn’t have come here anyway he told Lisa he hates Swansea when they were having 18 holes togerther a few weeks ago.

And Big Sam only wants to work locally to his house, somewhere between Sunderland and East London.

Only 1 loss in 12 now. Everton, West Ham, Palace. All down with us now all comfortably mid table. West Brom are the only still struggling, but they are comfortably the weakest team in the division with us. And Pardew's the poorest of these "so called proven managers".
