Season tickets/average attendances 09:01 - Jun 22 with 8392 viewsRAFC1907

So we have sold 2281 adult season ticket deposits which I'd expect most of them to be paid. Does anybody know how many junior season tickets we have sold? I'd like to guess it'll be around 500?

With the freebies that go out to players families, youth team, academy etc and people paying on the gate plus away fans coming to Spotland our average attendances at home should be around the 3200 mark.

Overall I think the ticket campaign has been a success. Let's hope with success on the field this helps increase the fan base.

Well done to the staff at the club.

Poll: Bottomley...

Doesn't that figure include kids tickets too? I'm pretty sure they changed the counting figures shortly into the promotion so kids tickets were included towards the target.

Aye, I think it does too. What I'd like to see now though is this scheme continued for another few seasons to see if the fan base can be improved on.

I mentioned in the other thread this was my worry. We've sold about 2300 season tickets and that's very similar to our average home attendances last season. So where are the pay on the days going to come from? Alot of work for the club to do now.

Poll: What are we more excited for?

Are you really expecting less than 4000 on the opening home fixture?
That's not a lot for a league one club,I appreciate that you have a lot of local competition to deal with but I didn't realise that was the number of your attendances,I'm not putting you down,I'm just a bit surprised, it makes where you finished in the league last season even more impressive

Wait until we win at Portsmouth and thrash Mansfield. We might make 3901 then!

"Are you really expecting less than 4000 on the opening home fixture?"

Are you really expecting us to believe, after all the time you spend on this forum (no problem with that btw) that we're expecting any more?

Portsmouth brought about 3000ish to Meadow Lane last season, they will be a good payday for Rochdale if its a Saturday fixture

What with the season ticket push and Rochdale doing reasonably well the last couple of seasons i had a figure of around 5000+ if I'm honest,it wasn't a put down more surprise that it would be 3,800ish

We don't play them at home until April. They won't bring that many unless they're going for promotion again.

It's OK, we've got Blackburn coming in September.

Didn't read it as a put down, more as an indication of lack of insight - which itself isn't meant as a put down!

Our ST push has simply transferred pay-on-the-days to ST numbers, probably to the financial detriment of the club, but we had to do something and it's just a start... hopefully

Its a great idea for the fan but it will be interesting to see if it hurts the club financially long term,is the offer a one off?

The club couldn't afford not to make a huge effort to increase the fanbase - now that would've hurt the club financially (as well as in other ways) but the consensus is the effort could've been greater, or at least better thought-through, so hopefully it isn't just a one-off but the start of a building process

It was probably underestimated how determined a section of potential fans are to find the slightest reason not to take up the offer, some of the bolshieness breaking new ground, even for us! And I couldn't give a f*ck if that offends those who've been sat on their deposits, as it were...

What was the huge effort the club has done in the last 6/7 weeks toentice the people who dont read the messageboards.,i have spoken to at least 20 people in the last week or two about season tickets initiative .Erm vast majority never heard of it ,putting a structure of a pricing plan for potential sales is not effort ,sorry a fluctuating pricing plan .

Now that is just taking the P--S out of fans who have a problem with the club. Was the ticket initiative there to get new fans to commit to going to games or re - engage stay away fans .

It's worth pointing out that 5 home attendances last season were lower than the total number of season tickets sold for this season. Indeed, the home crowd dipped below 2000 twice, so to nearly double the number of season ticket holders is a pretty good effort.
