Anticlimax 16:26 - May 14 with 9506 viewsploppy

Great day yesterday. Over the moon we've stayed up, but feels a bit of an anticlimax today. I guess because CP did it for us. Anyone else?

I don't want to blow my own trumpet but I said if we beat Everton we survive before Hull played Sunderland.

Obviously a bit of an anti-climax in terms of there being no longer nothing of mega-significance to fight for i.e. Premier League survival..... but in terms of savouring a truly unique once-in-a-blue moon party atmosphere at the WBA game where the Jack Army will undoubtedly be at its best? The total opposite!

Anticlimax? If you think (potentially) needing to beat WBA next Sunday to maintain our Premier League status is a climax and and not a nail biting fear fest then you are really strange. - a point of order, Loyal would probably climax as he is a little of beam.

I would think so, to have wanted something on next weeks game is nothing short of masochistic!

You give it out, you take it back it`s all part of the game

Looking at the remaining fixtures it's entirely possible that we could end the season in fifteenth, seven points clear of relegation.

I'd take that anticlimax in a heartbeat.

Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back.

Anticlimax - I agree
Been all day since seeing the result thinking about having to play the likes of Chelsea, the two Liverpool and two Manchester clubs, and having to drag myself to Wembley at least once next season.
Instead we could have looked forward to having a few spare seats in the home matches and playing the likes of Derby, Brentford, Barnsley, Ipswich, Burton, Bristol City, plus possibly Scunthorpe or Fleetwood. As well as the mighty Cardiff City.
Really - you can't make it up.
The attitude of some on here is like when you do your best to get your child what they always wanted for Christmas, only for them to turn around and say they are fed up with them, throw a hissy fit and scream they wanted something totally different

Well I felt safety up in Sunderland and the atmosphere matched that!

I must admit part of me wanted us to need a result against WBA just to experience the atmosphere we had against Everton again. Then my sane side takes over and I breathe a sigh of relief.

This weekend was something I had played out in my mind and dreams for the last few weeks sad bastard that I am . These last two weekends in the premier league have been our best all season in terms of results and performances going our way. How can that be an anti climax ?

Been 'over the moon' since the Palace penalty went in - no anti-climax here. I was on the train to Cardiff this morning and four complete strangers near me burst into spontaneous conversation as we passed the stadium - all Jacks who seemed very, very happy.
