Very proud to be voted Planet Swans Poster of the Year 2017 by my fellow posters. Especially on a site that nearly had 20 million impressions last year.

Seeing as how Bournemouth just put 3 past Arsenal, I don't feel quite as bad about us conceding 3 to them. Paul Clement will get a lot of credit for today, but I think Alan Curtis deserves loads of credit and shouldn't get lost in the mix.

With 18 matches to go, we may still have a chance...

Looks like four very poor teams this year.

Need to finish top out of them.

Could be much better than that. The big boys are winning more matches this year. If it carries on like this then 31 points may just fo it.

I love Gylfi to bits but his passing was dire tonight. It was an appalling crossfield pass to Naughton/Rangel(?)that went straight into touch, that brought the ball back down our end and ended up with them scoring. I think Gylfi has been trying TOO hard at times and losing his composure. Form is temporary, class is permanent so I'm not that bothered. He's still our star.
In contrast I thought Ki's passing was immaculate and he found space beautifully all night. It was a toss up between him and Alfie for MOM. The pass of the night of course was Fer's little dink over the top to Rangel for our second - sheer class.
We rode our luck - 2 stonewall penalties to be fair- but were the better team for most of the match and deserved the result. We played some lovel stuff at times. Onward and upward!

Good performance and great needed win , but we have to think who it was against, going to meet some better sides than Parace! Iam sure Clements aaware of that and some work and hopefully some new players done.

My nerves are shot, I'm still shaking.

Striker problem solved, Rangel to start up front.

Where did that come from? The movement was superb, the chest down and composure on the finish, superb. And the ball from Fer, imperiously cool, training ground move.

Great win we showed some great balls and dog out there tonight, Taylor frightened the life out of me there, I was much relieved we he went off, Cork should have scored with that chance though, he couldn't seem to get his feet right other than that we were very good, we always knew that they'd come out differently 2nd half much like WBA did, but we coped and they don't have the quality Wba have although Sako was a danger for us and Zaha.

Onwards and Upwards.

Just seen the highlights on Sky. Delighted with the win but there were still some very shakey moments in defence. Let's hope PC can do something aboit the decision making. Great 3 points in our dire position.

I d say clement might already have made an impact by hooking Taylor who must surely never play for us again.

Great effort ...typified by fer and siggy in extra time

That last 3 or 4 minutes was fantastic to watch

Rangel - 319 appearances and, before tonight, just 8 goals.

What a time to score his 9th.

Well pleased for him, and us.

Brilliant! (Top man - does plenty of charity work - homeless etc.)

On a side note - is his wife, Nikki, a local lass?

Agree with this. In the first half we played a sharp passing game like a few seasons ago.

Llorente also impressed me, good hold up play.

Mawson gets my vote for MOM, I thought he was brilliant!

Penalty shouts can't have been very stonewall ... Allardyce even didn't mention them as an excuse in the BBC interview after match on ... although I thought the ref was going to give the Benteke one in the first half.

Have to say Ki was as good last night as he has been bad for the rest of the season. If just of couple of players start firing on all cylinders we can push on.
Hate to flog a dead horse(sorry Leon) but as I have stated numerous times, since he came into the side we have been getting molested. looked much better without him last night. Time for the paddock.

They were both nailed on. Lady luck finally favoured us. I don't know what interview you saw but Allardyce was having a bleat about the Benteke one and with good reason.

Probably Ki's third best game for us this season.

People have bizarrely short memories when it comes to him. Except for his shockers.
