I sat in SAR B block for a little while in the Premier league season and I swear I sat behind a pair of muppets who would start every game saying he "couldn't adapt to the Premier League" and by the end of the game "It's criminal he's not playing for England" .Game after game.

We was in the away end at the Old Manor ground Oxford getting our usual tonking, they get yet another corner and as Macca was walking into our penalty area someone from 'our lot' threw a bottle on the pitch, Macca picked it up walked over to us gave us all one of his famous glares and we all stood around with our hands in our pockets shuffling our feet and pretending not to look at him.

Took my little brother (7 years old) to the Norwich game and sat in Lower Loft.
Couple of blokes spent the whole game digging out QPR players - but claiming that Sandro was quality, even though they kept getting him mixed up with Joel Lynch. One of them then screamed at the ball boy for being too slow at one point, "he does this every week!"
They also booed Chery when he came over to take a corner.
Cretins.
Anyway, I don't get the Onuoha is a terrible captain thing. It's fairly obvious that he's very well respected by all of the other players. I'm proud that he speaks for our club, and being the club captain is 95% an off field role anyway. Just because he's not screaming at the top of his lungs at all times on the pitch does not mean that he's a bad captain. I liked his comments from a season or so back where it was fairly clear that he was talking about Barton and his style of captaincy. That's for the supporters. The players and manager have had him as their captain for a while now. | | | |
