£7M for Ki and we said No ? 21:03 - Jul 21 with 5007 viewsbonymine

WTF?

Could have sold this' luxury' player who OCCASIONALLY has a decent game but NEVER puts in a tackle of any shape or form for a PROFIT but we said No ?

Really ??

Who the f*ck is making these decisions behind the scenes?

If we'd sold Ki to Stoke we could have clinched the Joey signing and after the sale of Paloschi,Eder and hopefully Go-Miss to Marseille we have a squad up to competing in the 'new world' of Premier League football?

I sincerely hope so !!!!!

i applaud the board for not selling Ki at the first half-decent offer.

had they done it, everybody here woulda been moaning about how easily they give in on these tranfers. Ki on form could be worth twice that.

not selling Ki, and potentially not getting Allen are in no way related. there isn't a cause and effect.

No surprise to anyone but if the choice was buy Ki for £7m or Allen for £13m then I'd go for Ki ten times out of ten. In a minority I know, but there we go. Good decision.

I think Ki at 7 million is massively undervalued. I'd say he's worth 12-14 million.10 at very least. On his day Ki is the best deeper creative midfielder we have at this club. He needs to find that consistency that was on show a couple of seasons ago. Saw glimpses last season but no where near enough and If he stays I'm really hoping FG can get him back there.

Football is all about opinions gentlemen.......I'll be intrigued to see how Ki performs next season if he stays with us ?

For my money he is a non-contributor to our cause and is an expendable luxury.

Each to their own of course ....

Well he's done the square root of f*ck all in his three years here so I have my doubts about him suddenly pulling up trees any time soon.

Seven million? No brainer. Maybe the player refused to go.

If the market value of Joe Allen in the current climate is £13m then we should be after more than £7m for Ki.

I honestly don't think so.

Joe was in the Euro 2016 squad of the tournament yet Ki has been anonymous over the past year for us , Joe IS moe than twice the player Ki is any day of the week IMHO !

Not vastly more. £10m ought to do it.

That's more like it but if Stoke have offered £13M for Joe no matter how much he & his missus want to 'come home' then money talks and a few years in the 'Stoke wilderness ' will seal his fate...

£13m is the market value for Joe with 12 months left on his contract. Ki has a few years left, we're in no danger of losing him on a free.

Not a big earner either, more a starter than Joe is for Liverpool, we're under no financial pressure to sell.

£7m? Jog on.

If we are serious about Joe Allen why keep Ki? Serious question. 7M is a lot of money.

I believe he was sent due to a fall out with Laudrup

As Jasper said the figures don't add up 7 for Ki 13 for Joey

Having said that I really want Joe back big time

Ki is crap though. One good game last season - if anything he is over priced at 7 mill.

Allen on other hand has exactly what we need, crisp passing, mobile, aggression and would fit in easily

Last season, Ki performed better at away games. If we play possession football then he's one of the best. If you have the likes of Gomis losing the ball every time he gets it, then Ki isn't the man to win it back.
So it comes down are others good enough.
