And this says it all.

Actually considering selling Burys pride and joy to pay off their debts so they can have an ego trip for a few seasons by spending money they don't have.

Please stop posting on here. You make my skin crawl

Somebody asked if I could sleep at night considering Bury are in "serious financial trouble (LOL)", so I replied by saying yes quite easily because if push came to shove, we easily have enough value in our assets to cancel any debts.

It's only a game lads, I genuinely get the feeling you guys dream of Bury being in financial difficulty and thus hard working people getting put out of work. Shame on you all, coming from Rochdale you should all know how hard it is to get by on state benefits.

Plus we actually have saleable assets unlike Dale.

Leon Clarke, Danny Mayor, NatCam, Gigg Lane and our winners medals could all be sold if it came to it, looking at £10M plus there.

£10 million in wages would be nearer the mark, because they sure ain't worth that, even collectively as a squad.

And the stadium and surrounding land?

The stadium isn't yours to sell. It's the security for the £2 million loans.

Do you ever check other websites such as companies house and HMRC and check for financial information regarding your club ? Do you ever check the background to the various companies involved and their owners/directors ?

You should do. It's an education and it's surprising what truth is out there. It also makes very worrying reading if you're a Giggler.

Debt upon debt. Loan after loan. Multiple CCJ's issued and winding-up petitions from HMRC. One massive loan taken out to pay another. 138% interest rates

No responsible, sound and secure business would need to borrow money at such exorbitant interest rates. Unless, of course, there was no sensible lender who would go anywhere near such a liability.

You work it out.

You all seem to be focusing (wishing) on an outcome that will probably never happen. We have never gone bust before so why would we suddenly go bust now?

Never gone bust ?? Are you sure about that ?

What we're trying to do, is make you wake up and understand that your club is being prostituted and sacrificed on the altar of greed in pursuit of a pointless target. It isn't worth losing the club for a short term dream that will cost you your future.

End of the day lads, your a good if slightly obsessed bunch. I will end by saying that I will look forward watching Bury play an FA Cup 4th round game against top of the championship infront of 10,000, as for Dale, you guys concentrate on conceeding less than 6 this week!

I know which club id rather support, goodnight.

Are you still creaming yourself over the thought of a 10,000 crowd? Hull are only bringing 2500 of their quite baffling 5000 allocation so you'll struggle. Piss up and brewery spring to mind. You are advertising nearly selling out the home ends, pay on the day and have given the away team half of your stadium. Never been good with numbers has big Stewie.

no heating in the Bury social club on Tuesday, plus ran out of beer with only 20 people in the club. That is the sign of an affluent club.

Panicky pitch inspection at 2pm today just in case they have to pay Hull's travelling expenses?

Sub-letting Carrington? I doubt any lease agreement allows for sub-letting or any other such assignation, especially if fees are involved.

One of their fans reckons a friend who 'works at City' told them bury are getting Carrington for nowt - as long as they keep it maintained and look after it for City as they didn't want to sell the land . As much as it seems hard to believe - its also hard to believe bury can afford to run a facility that big and pay City also. Also reckons they can sub let it and keep the money.

It does seem very hard to believe, especially given the bidding war between North West clubs before bury got Carrington - weren't Burnley involved?

Maybe this is the reason Hill called Day 'a clever businessman ' - if he managed to wangle that deal? Even if they aren't paying City 'rent' surely even the running costs for a facility that big would stretch a Division 3 small club with a bottom 6 budget?

"Somebody asked if I could sleep at night considering Bury are in "serious financial trouble (LOL)", so I replied by saying yes quite easily because if push came to shove, we easily have enough value in our assets to cancel any debts."

I think you will find that once a WUO has been issued you have 7 days - I don't think you could raise cash from player sales in that short length of time and you would be placed in administration (again).

"The future of your company will depend on the actions you take and how long you wait to react to the petition. In general, you have the following 4 main options for avoiding liquidation and dissolution:

1) Utilise informal negotiations or a formal company voluntary arrangement (CVA) to come to an agreement and create a payment plan with the petitioning creditor.

2) Apply to the court for an adjournment in order to allow the company to explore a company administration procedure. If the court grants the administration order it would halt any legal actions being taken against your company.

If liquidation seems inevitable then it may well be possible for arrangements to be made whereby the directors or any interested third parties can purchase some or all of the company's assets.

3) Convince the Court to grant an adjournment or dismiss the petition by showing that your company needs more time to repay the petitioning creditor, or by disputing the validity or accuracy of the debt. It may also be possible to stop or postpone the petition from being advertised by obtaining an injunction to restrain advertisement. You would need specialist solicitors legal advice in order to achieve this.

4) Come up with enough funds to satisfy the creditor's payment demand. If the company has any valuable assets that could be used as leverage then asset financing may be a last-resort fund-raising method to consider.
If you cannot raise the funds needed to repay the debt then you would need the assistance of a licensed insolvency practitioner to facilitate the first three options above. If you are unable to respond or mount a defence within 7 days of receiving the winding up petition it is almost certain that the Court will grant the winding up order. Once the winding up order is granted compulsory liquidation commences and matters are taken out of your hands.

Calls me sad, yet you're doing the exact same thing as I am.

I originally signed up to this place to ask for an opinion on O'Sulivan, was never a reader of this site. But as soon as I signed up I was drawn into a world of obsession with all things Bury!

Serious question.. When did the Bury obsession start from you guys? Because we don't really class you as rivals, more like annoying smaller neighbours who never shut up about us.

"Serious question.. When did the Bury obsession start from you guys?"

We're not obsessed, 'us guys'.

Haven't you noticed? You're on OUR site, an unwelcome visitor, with uncontrollable apostrophes scattered at random along with miscellaneous hints of financial illiteracy. I think this message board would get along quite well without itinerants from north Heywood interjecting.

But on the other hand it does liven things up for us, watching the plan unravelling slowly but surely.

Just like the old Hughie E days. Memories.

And yet,,,, even after, the Eaves, saga and the Blackwell financial collapse, are we actually any worse off than Rochdale? I would take one look at our opponents tomorrow, and say no we are not.

It's your club accounts and credit history you need to look at. If things carry on as they are, it won't be Hull turning up, it'll be the bailiffs.

But what's the obsession with comparing yourselves to us?

Surely you should simply be concerned about why your supposedly loaded Chairman has to keep getting loan after loan, why you have so many CCJs and winding-up orders against the club, why you have a group of directors and staff who have no background or affiliation with bury FC, how a club whose average support isn't much more than 4000 (and falling) can afford to pay two strikers £40,000 per month between them, and so on.

You can go on all you want about playing Hull tomorrow (we've had four clubs bigger than Hull at Spotland in the FA Cup in the previous two seasons so they aren't really opposition to be getting cheapies about), but any financial gain will only delay things a little bit longer, especially when Pope and Clarke have been paid.

And I'm still waiting for where you got that £500,000 cup run figure from. I know you struggle with basic questions and basic calculations, so you can have a bit longer to work it out.

When I was your age, I used to enjoy the odd game of tennis. Or was it golf?
