Whose Huw Jenks and our favourite son Garry Monk bought in who could be classed as a success, actually not even a success, just not a complete waste of money.
Don't say Siggy because if it wasn't for Rodgers he wouldn't have even heard of us.
I can think of two, Fernandez, who Monk dropped like a dog and replaced with Kyle Bartley, and Montero, who seems to have gone downhill in a rate of knots under Monk this season.

And depends on how you define recently. HJ takes the plaudits when things go well, he has take the criticism when decisions he takes are wrong.
We are not the amateur club with the board spending their time for free now. Huw clears over £700k per annum to run our club and he has not covered himself in glory. A shocking waste of scarce resource on recent signings, as outlined earlier in the thread. We now have no money to buy our way out of this hole, without selling. Tabanou and Eder won't cut it and likely never will. We have no preferred manager, with Curt asked to step in because HJ and the board had no contingency should Monk not work out.
We have been poorly led, poorly managed by people who have been well compensated for incompetence. The credit bank for heroics of the past has naw been fully debited.

Quite an amusing thread this.
We were always going to hit a difficult spell at some point. Five years in the Prem has been a massive achievement up until now. It just seems that the first hint of hard times and 'fans' on here are looking for the first person to throw dirt at.
Apparently everything good that's been done over the years has been the work of either the managers or the Trust and all the bad things are Huw's doing! Couldn't make it up!
A Swansea chairman being accused of being tight with the cheque book. Haven't heard that since the days of Doug Sharpe. What happened after that calmed some people's spending expectations down a bit. Looks like some people have forgotten. |

What I would say is we had a terrible summer transfer window.
Which included giving a 3 year contract to Monk the rest of the coaching staff appointments were appauling as well.
I read somewhere yesterday that Monk was pleased we didnt go up under Sousa was mentioned in his book.
That speaks volumes for the mess we now find ourselves in.
The board have got lazy and started believing there own hype.
