I'm mostly dance music but just off the top of my head some of my own personal favourite voices in other genres are Phil Lynott, Anthony Kiedis, Dan McCafferty, Hugh Cornwell/Jean Jacques Burnel, Kirk Brandon, Robert Smith (which is more than 3 but there are so many to choose from) and from the ladies Debbie Harry (oh and Stevie Nicks for another lady and Gwen Stefani was not bad when she fronted No Doubt, oh and I forgot Roisin Murphy)

So many great frontmen mentioned here already. Like any of these best musical lists, mine would change quite regularly, but for now I'm opting for Little Richard, James Brown and Ian Dury. Just wish there was space for Jagger, Jim Morrison, Otis Redding, Uncle Tom Cobbly and all and of course, the one and only Wilko Johnson in his own band.
There aint half been some clever bastards.

utterly superb.
Dr Feelgood came to Orkney a couple of times (seen them in Isle of Man too) great nights and i capped off the final one by running on stage and lifting a 6 stone Lee Brilleaux on my shoulders and jumping around a bit, i had a habit of doing this at the time (did the same to Wolfstone lead singer too)) he took it in good spirits, one of my finest moments but i should have run out the door with him during 'Keep it out of sight'...

I'm not really a huge "front man of bands" type but I'd nominate
Liam Gallagher - total to$$er but at their height he was the man Ian Brown - mystique and legend maintained for 25 years (and he cant really sing) Elvis - changed music Maxwell - many wont of heard of him but to this day I've never seen anyone as cool as fcuk on the stage at the Royal Albert Hall and have the crowd eating out of the palm of his hand with some proper fit ladies fighting to get on stage with him. Top soul voice too.
Normal service with bass, bleeps, hooks and rhythms will be resumed in the morning.

Brilliant in The Jam, but less aggressive with Style Council and whilst I appreciate his writing skills over all of 40 years, including a lot of solo stuff, he just seems to be going through the motions Live wise. At Glastonbury, I was almost bored ! Not many have done 40 years though, and still been critically acclaimed.
