The Official What is Leanne f**king Wood up to now thread 09:21 - Apr 24 with 18446 viewsCottsy

Here you go Trampie, your own thread to keep us all up to date on what Leanne f**king Wood is up to right now.

What colour dress is she wearing? Has she given an also comprehendible speech to young farmers in Porthmadog? Has an obscure polling company given her a 0.4% increase in her approval rating? Are her bowel movements regular and of a good consistency?

These are things we need to know!

Don't forget to add liberal doses of casual sexism to your posts, maybe the odd w@nk fantasy of Leanne f**king Wood lezzing up with Nicola Sturgeon and some photos from your personal collection of Leanne f**king Wood's hair, nail clippings and bodily fluids.

It'll free the General Election thread up for people to actually discuss rather than have to trawl through the minutiae of Leanne f**king Wood's life, which is just a happy bonus.

If man evolved from monkeys why do we still have monkeys?

Its a civil nationalism you plum. Socialist to the core. Sadly the new Labour of Tony and Ed has simply become the Red Tories. Detached from ordinary people and their ordinary lives. Dancing to Dai Cam's tune and too self absorbed or blinkered to see it.

Exactly Kilkenny.

Labour are a Tory party, they were a socialist party in Bevan's day but they are a Tory party today and have been for many years now, Bevan would have no part of todays Labour party, Wood would have been in the same party as Bevan if she was Bevan's age and Bevan would have been in the same party as Wood if Bevan was Woods age.

Lohengrin directly replied to Cottsy saying ''I think it's entirely natural that Wood hoves into view alongside an effigy of her spiritual mentor and consumate fraud, Bevan.

Neither are fit to be mentioned in the same sentence as Saunders Lewis''.

Entirely natural and spiritual mentor, Lohengrin says.

You have no idea what Wood stands for Cottsy, what Bevan stood for, what Plaid of the last 30, 40, 50 years stand for, what Labour used to stand for up to 1983 and what Labour stand for now.

Wood and Bevan are compatible in many ways, Bevan and the Labour party since 1983 are not compatible in the slightest.

Margaret Thatcher's greatest achievement was creating the modern Labour party, don't know if its just many peoples observations being said over and over again or if its true that she actually said it, when asked what here greatest achievement was apparently she said 'New Labour'.

Oh my effing God! Are you really this thick or are you just making a special effort today?

Are you not capable of English comprehension that you can't understand what Lohengrin is saying in the quote that you have used to say that Bevan is Wood's "natural and spiritual mentor"? Iesu Mawr, mun!

Read the quote again, understand the words in it, and maybe recognise that Lohengrin is not really supporting your point of view either.

I know perfectly well what Bevan stood for and I also know that until Leanne Wood placed a socialist veneer on Plaid in an attempt to win votes in the industrial heartlands, socialism was not the driving force of Plaid Cymru unless you want to re-write history and paint Dafydd Wigley and Ieaun Wyn Jones as Che & Fidel?

Do you understand your party's recent history? Because while you have been posting on this forum that trade unions are right wing, traitors of the working class and poor, Leanne Wood has been going around to the unions begging for their support and evangelising the importance of trade unionism in Wales.

Plaid adopted a policy of community socialism as a constitutional aim in 1981, they had been left of centre for decades before that, Labour turned away from socialism in 1983 after Thatcher beat Foot, Labour becoming a fully fledged Tory party.

I have read that Plaid have received backing from trade unions in the past, I think I have read that Leanne Wood had the backing of a trade union in the Plaid leadership contest, any union that backs Labour is backing a Tory party, any trade union backing Plaid is backing a social justice party.

Community socialism?
Shyte,

Is that like in socialist Cuba or North Korea where everyone is equal and has equal.

Thank God I understood from an early age you re on your own in this world and you live and die by your combined efforts and therefore you aspire to the best you can .

Socialism? What the feck is that..no really apart from a trite phrase to con voters .

Leanne Wood is from the Rhondda Perch, Adam Price is the son of a miner from the Amman Valley, some say it is South Wales types that helps put the social justice policies to the forefront and it is the South Wales massive that are in high positions within the party.

"Plaid adopted a policy of community socialism as a constitutional aim in 1981" - Yes that's the line as it appears on Wikipedia, now what does that mean? Re-distribution of wealth and land on a community by community basis? Running Wales like a parish council with law making and tax raising powers? A nifty little soundbite that doesn't really mean anything but allows the flexibility to appease the core vote in the rural heartlands while also flashing their leg at traditional Labour voters?

You keep saying that Labour have become the Torys but where is the clear red water between Plaid's policies and Labour's at this election? There are no real 'red line' issues other than the renewal of Trident, which is not necessarily a left/right issue (you'll no doubt recall that even Bevan came to the view that Britain should have a nuclear deterrent), which is probably why Plaid are so eager to jump into bed with Labour on Friday morning.

Have you read and understood Lohengrin's quote that you used yet?

Labour used to be against nuclear weapons, now they are for them again.

Plaid want £1.2 billion a year extra for Wales [parity with Scotland] that is a central issue that Plaid is fighting this election on, Labour will not reverse Conservative cuts but implement further cuts themselves.
Welsh Labour say they would give an extra £300 odd million a year to Wales [Plaid £1.2 billion a year for Wales], but of course this does not take into account the 2.2% cut that UK Labour if in power would make to the Welsh budget, according to the IFS this would lead to a loss of over a billion to Wales resulting in a huge loss for Wales under Labour, that would not be the case with Plaid, so Plaid could still keep services going, under Labour it would be more services going.

Labour are the red Tories, slightly better than the blue Tories but nonetheless Wales would be far better off with Plaid, at least with Plaid they will put Wales first.

Apart from Plaid wouldn't give an extra £1.2bn to Wales would they, because they have no mechanism to give an extra £1.20 let alone £1.2bn.

So Plaid wouldn't be able to keep any services going would they that Labour wouldn't, because they wouldn't have any more money than anyone else.

Still, no one much seems to believe that Wales would be better off with Plaid which is why no one much will vote for them.

Leanne from Rhondda? Never heard that before.

Adam Price? Now we re really talking big.

What about Swansea East/West, Cardiff, Newport, Wrexham, all industrial former heartlands.

I cant imagine there being many Plaid lovers in Townhill, Sandfields,Hafod, or Manselton. I remember well much antipathy towards Plaid Cymru and even to the Welsh language .
You re kidding nobody ,kidder.

You alsohave to bear in mind that being so poor,Rhondda Fawr and Fach are utterly at the base any economic wealth and this is what has to improve, notthe percentage of Welshspeakers, not the welsh learners index.

Wales wont become richer by speaking welsh more often, its a complete irrelevance and the language was the basic of Plaid s creation.,ie primarily welsh speaking orientated.

Just to let you now when I was a kid my mum used to sing ;she was a beautiful and powerful mezzo and was invited to a National Eisteddfod and went only to find her inability to speak Welsh made her an outcast and she was shunned in a petty and vicious way that shamed any pride I had in my country. We can be a spiteful, shallow, inward looking shower .

The people will have the Government they deserve in a UK sense.

I have no issue accepting whatever the result, if a Tory party get in [and the lead party will obviously either be red Tories or blue Tories], no doubt as an individual I will stay more or less as I am, I might even get a tax cut during the Parliament or a tax freeze guaranteed for 5 years, but I think the country will be all the poorer for having Tory parties in charge, poorer values and poorer services, because red and blue Tories don't care about the poor or disadvantaged.

Its no skin off my nose who gets in as an individual but for the country I hope Plaid retain their seats in Wales and that the SNP win the vast majority of seats in Scotland and that the Greens do well in England possibly keeping their one seat and increasing their vote share.
