Match Thread on 14:23 - Aug 24 with 1998 views | kensalriser | Again - too many new players thrown into the team and a new system that not one of the players looks comfortable with. Our joke of a pre-season hasn't helped either. I know it's too early to say but the omens really aren't good.

Match Thread on 14:24 - Aug 24 with 1949 views | Lblock | Body language I'm a great believer in it. Watching the sloped shoulders, lack of chat, lack of urgency and hanging heads tells me something is not right overall. I think the players do not agree with this system and may also not agree with the new signings rolling in and putting on a shirt straight away. Concerning.

Match Thread on 14:27 - Aug 24 with 1884 views | Hooparoo | Playing like strangers because we are. New players or not doesn't excuse lack of effort. Playing for pride now. Harry needs to drag Phillips, Dunne and Fer and get Ale, Ned and Bobby on.

Match Thread on 14:27 - Aug 24 with 1855 views | CHUBBS | I said to the wife at 1-0 this game had all the hall marks of the Fulham 6-0. We have looked so open from back to front that every time we lose the ball they look like scoring. Only our 2nd game so no time to over react especially as most teams of our standard will lose here. The debutants are having a bit of a mare but will get better with games. Need to show alot more pride in the 2nd half or it will be really embarrassing. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

Match Thread on 14:28 - Aug 24 with 1846 views | WestbourneR | Not getting a result against Hull was a much bigger problem than the game today. For me Spurs were always going to beat us convincingly. We need to win our home games then play extremely conservatively away from home.

Match Thread on 14:28 - Aug 24 with 1811 views | Dunstable_hoop | This is what happens when throw a bunch of players in and tell them to play a system but not how. Last week I said, Traore and Simpson have absolutely no idea how to play the wing-back system. Isla already looks to have half-decent positioning but he is absolutely powder-puff. The back 3 don't know what to do with movement of the players off Adebayor. The wing-backs don't know when to stay or go. The midfield three are literally chasing shadows but when they do get to a challenge they cant put their foot in. Fer looks like he hasn't a clue what to do. The two strikers are the absolute wrong partnership when isolated. Id have been happier starting with a half-fit Zamora with Remy. Add to this they clearly have spent all their time on shape so set-piece defending, the bread and butter for a team likely to be struggling, has been neglected. Also, when they actually do get into a promising position the technique is horrible. Remy's got vasoline over his boots by the looks of things and Matt Phillips should be ashamed of that finish. Put your sodding laces though it! This is very poor coaching and strategy, that cannot be denied!

Match Thread on 14:29 - Aug 24 with 1780 views | 08olesen | Its only one match. Try and save face now by not letting in any more. The defense looks all over the place with Armand and Dunne the prime suspects. Dont bring in any more players, work with these ones, it wont be fixed by a new signing.

Match Thread on 14:30 - Aug 24 with 1752 views | johnhoop | Awful as our relegation team of 2 years ago was, we gave Spurs a really good game at White Hart Lane and should have beaten them. I think we have all applauded the signings we've made in the last couple of months but collectively they are producing one of the most embarrassing performances I've ever seen from a Rangers team. Tottenham are passing the ball around like it's a training exercise and whenever we get the ball we give it straight back to them.

Ok so needs to take off dunne and switch to 4-3-3 Traore needs to step up and play left back, Isla right, bring on FAurlin and have him sit with Barton Then haul off fer for hoilett.

Match Thread on 14:32 - Aug 24 with 1673 views | DylanP | Seriously, we are playing like a team that is just slung together because we are, but that is no excuse for the lack of energy and pressure. They are wandering all over us without being challenged. You don't have to have played together for ages to be pressuring the ball. Fck Fck Fck Having said that, this are early days. teams aren't relegated int he first weeks of a season, they are relegated in the last few weeks. Some people need to calm down. Match Thread on 14:18 - Aug 24 by Dougal_RBlock | Former Blackburn striker Jason Roberts, BBC Radio 5 live summariser at White Hart Lane Tottenham 3-0 QPR "I've been part of a promoted team, and you know when you go up that it's going to be more difficult. What you can't do is not have the application. You've got to be a little bit nasty and put the odd challenge in. Tottenham are able to do whatever they want on this pitch. "And not one member of the QPR coaching staff has been out once. That would be a concern for the players, because they look lost." It's the last two lines that are worrying |
