Head above the parapet time! I think £16 mill. would be a brilliant result for us. I would be incredibly happy to be proved wrong but I think we could really regret not taking that sort of money 12 months down the line.
I so want to be wrong, but I just do not see what the other 20,000 of you see in him to be worth more than that. Come on Mr B prove me wrong.

eh?.....sure you don't mean arse above the parapet?

Oh well, everyone's got a view I guess.

Yeah right,
Lakaku 15 goals worth £28M
Lallana 8 goals worth £25M
Long 7 goals worth £12M
and
Bony 17 goals only worth £16M, I don't think so.

The buy of the season has to be Lambert 13 goals for only £4m, so why did Southampton sell him for £4M and buy Long for £12M?

They must know something we don't.

Bony was the main reasons we survived the second half of last season

We need two like Bony to make sure we can do better

Bony will be at the African Nations Cup again

Only other hope we have up front is Emnes

If Bony goes we will need to spend at least 10M, maybe 20M+

Liverpool are encouraging bony to say he wants to go through the papers as they know that they are not allowed to meet him or his agent without the permission of the club. They can then come to us and do us a favour by taking an unhappy player off our hands. As he is so unhappy they of course wouldn't offer the sort of price that we would ask for but would give us what they think is a fair price and we would be twisting their arms to take him. Feck off.

Because Lambert is 32 and was on the last year of the contract. They cashed in while they still could.

Shane Long is 27 and will do a job for them for 4-5 years easily. Overpriced no doubt, but they've had so much money in I doubt they'll be too bothered about paying £4m much for him.

And

Borini 7 goals worth £14M

No way Swansea will sell him for less then 20-25 million unless his contract tell him otherwise.

There is a lot to be said for that view. I suspect Liverpool and some of the other so called big clubs feed press stories to unsettle a player.
Fortunately there have been no offers to buy him. We don't want to sell and the player is focused on the season ahead.
It is too late to sell anyway so it so almost certainly a big FO from the club if any late bid materialises.

It did seem to me that Huw's ill-judged interview of a couple of weeks ago was likely to result in a club coming in to test the water at that sort of figure. Could it be that the Mirror wasn't as far out as we all thought? I'd hate that to be true. If we accept a sub-20m fee I think we know what lies ahead - back to the comfort zone of the Championship.

But Huw said last night that as yet we have not received a single bid for Bony.

Not £12m or 16!

I can't see us selling under £20m.........when we get our first offer.

Until then all the stirers and doubters should feck off and get a life!
