Once again the big clubs are just bargain hunting in the hope that their interest will be enough to encourage a player to force a move at a deflated price.

If clubs as rich as Tottenham or Liverpool are not prepared to pay at least £12-14m for a young player of Davies's quality then they don't really rate him and it would be a mistake for him to go there.
