Dale & Hornets have both been given Freedom of the Borough. This mayor in particular is a staunch Rugby League man, with a specific interest in Hornets.
There may well be a reception at the Town Hall, but I can't see there being as much interest as previously in an 'open-top' bus parade. (Unless we win the title).
They'd be better off just opening the gates at Spotland and letting fans in for free to see the squad and staff parade whatever silverware they have, or just to bring the curtain down on the season.
