If there is a plus side, I guess he won't be leaving as surely no one would take a risk until he's proved he can come back, and play like he did....certainly not for the money we would ask.
I take no pleasure in saying that I feared kicking the hoardings was not the thing to do. Now, people may say "that's got nothing to do with it", however it can't have helped his feet, ankles, joints, bones etc.

This I agree with.

In a glass half full kinda way lets hope he can get this sorted over the summer with no World Cup hampering recovery and out of the transfer spotlight. It'll be like having a new signing next season.

The word that I have heard is that his ankles are shot and any return is unlikely ever. Horrible thing to think but it has come from a strong source within the club (not player, coaching staff or office junior.)

im assuming your employer makes you come to work when youre to sick to work?
My last employer used to!! One fella was forced back in because of his sick record but ended up with a medical retirement and a big pay off. He'd broken his leg and occ health (Atos ironically) judged him fit to work though his own GP and a specialist said no. Two days later his leg gave way under him. The bone hadn't healed properly. He's very bitter about it.
And another fella had an operation on his ankle but with his sick record bosses made vovert threats. Despite being on crutches he was back in work. I was his union rep at the time, I told him to go home and we'd fight it but he wouldn't lusten to me. He had young kids and wouldn't take the chance.

If that's true, Laudrup and the medical staff have some serious questions to answer in terms of why he was allowed or made to play every game and, yes, why he was not told in no uncertainterms to stop kicking anything except the football.

Hate to admit it but someone mentioned to me a while back that we might not see him again. They didn't say due to injury or give any other reason and it was before we saw his brief comeback recently so it gives me hope that it was boIIocks and it simply is a persistent injury that will hopefullly clear over the summer.
‘……. like a moth to Itchy’s flame ……’
My fear is it could take the edge off his playing and make him more cautious on the field.
He will certainly take no chances as he still has maybe another 10 years or so ahead of him...it took me 3 months for my ankle to heal after a paragliding accident.during that time you can put no pressure on the ankle and have to use crutches, only one shot you get if you open the break again it could cause problems big time.
Playing pro football after an ankle break is high risk I would say.the problem is long periods of time off definitely loses the edge.

i broke mine about 8 years ago and i still get twinges.
Unfortunatley, I cant see Michu regaining the form he had last season anyway tho . I think he had a big point to prove to one of his boyhood heros and i dont think he'll have the same drive to show Monk that hes a bad motherf*cker.
Hope I'm wrong.

I suppose you will be writing a stiffly worded letter to Brod re Kuqi too.
No one came close to kicking the sh1t out of a hoarding like that guy. Also did the ears thing too, amongst some of his less dangerous celebrations. Slightly less clinical than Michu though
Let all that hatred go man it will screw you up for sure

If one good thing comes out of this bad news it should be that the "sports science" and "medical" provision of the club need some serious review.
Before people step in and say "but other clubs have injuries" quite frankly I couldn't give 2 f*cks about other clubs' incompetence. These "experts" are paid a large sum of money. Accountability and ongoing review is the very least they should be subject to
