From Wikipedia: "As a manager, Magath quickly gained respect and became notorious for his hard, grinding training methods, laying heavy emphasis on discipline, fitness and conditioning. Players gave him nicknames like "Saddam" (Saddam Hussein) or “Quälix”, a rhyming mash of his first name Felix and the German verb “quälen” (to torture).[6] He was once described by former Eintracht Frankfurt player Bachirou Salou as the "last dictator in Europe" Bet the squad are delighted. Adel would have loved him... Just read this as well, he sounds like Tony Pullis crossed with Himmler. http://www.theguardian.com/football/blog/2012/oct/08/bundesliga-felix-magath-wol [Post edited 15 Feb 2014 12:40]

That's an interesting description of the man. I can just picture it now, Fulham blitzing through the Premier League like a Panzer Division tearing a strip through the Low Countries and Fulham fans singing patriotic marching songs from the terraces. No wait a minute, that's best left to their delightful neighbours a few yards down the road. | |
| There aint half been some clever bastards. |
