Ex Silkmen midfielder Alan Navarro is expected to be out of football for months after damaging his cruciate knee ligaments during Tuesday night's game between Brighton and Northampton.
Navarro went for a scan yesterday and it was announced that he has some serious damage to his knee which will rule him out from playing for most of this season.
Brighton's manager Gus Poyet said “I am hoping it will be just six months out but we will have to see. It is a terrible blow for Alan. He has worked extremely hard through pre-season and was in great shape in terms of match fitness."
“He is one of our key players and I felt he was in great form in recent weeks. He will come back, and he may still have a part to play at the end of this season, but for now he faces some serious surgery and a lot of hard work with the physios in terms of his rehabilitation."
TheSilkWeb.com wish Alan all the best in his recovery.
