Really, I thought they traveled quite well. Maybe it’s just those grounds close enough for them to dominate the atmosphere. Saints etc |

He plays on the shoulder of the last man, but if the ball doesn’t come he rolls off side. Maybe selfish to think it’s coming, but he is a striker and every millisecond counts, and they are selfish. Other teams will play to his strengths and play the ball earlier. He wasn’t half as bad as most on here make out. As an ex respectable servant of my club I wish him all the best |

Smyth pulled the defender central to leave Frey on his own. Very good movement from Smyth, as he seems to glance behind him to make sure it’s a potential 2 on 1 as he makes the move from over the defender’s shoulder. |

I think you’re looking at the wrong side of the pitch for most of the crossed goals. It took Smyth to come on to stem that the other night. I love Dunne, but as with most big lads, first couple of yards in a sprint ain’t where they win a race. |

Smyth changed the game. 2 pieces of brilliant defending, moved us up the pitch, but check out his movement for Frey’s goal. As we moved the ball over to the left, he has a little glance over his shoulder to check he and Frey have a 2 on 1 at the back post. He then made a blind early run across the defender who duly followed him leaving Frey on his own at the back. Exactly what you want from the bench. Not sure where Lloyd’s best position is, but he doesn’t have enough close control of the ball to play wide. Would have been better off going kick n run using his strength, cos it was painful watching him trying to dribble it. Lots of effort though, just need to work out how best to utilise him. |

You all deserve what you get for going to Templebar. I pay 6.20 euro, so 5.50 sterling for a Guinness 3 miles from the city Centre. All youngs pubs in Wandsworth/clapham area charge £7.20 for a Guinness |

“Once again, as it’s been said before, we need a striker who can find the net” Arguably the best, or one of the best frontlines in the division… |

Weirdly, ok in attacking positions, but take a look at the 2nd goal again. Probably the worst I’ve seen him defend. He approached it like he thought the attacker wasn’t there. Not watched the first back, but the 9ft left back crossed it from what would be his watch. |

Funny you say that, he ghosted into little pockets around the halfway line on several occasions in the first half. He created a clear passing lane through to him, often from defence, but they never came. With braver passing we could have been out. However, to be fair to the other players, they’re not yet used to his movement and probably weren’t even looking at him for the next pass - and when ghosting you can’t exactly be waving your arms in the air that you’re free. I’ll agree that he looked a little lost at times, but it’ll take time for all to get used to each other. Regardless of the level of the Swiss league, of which I haven’t a clue, his stats tell you he knows where the net is, so let’s see where he’s at in a couple of months. |

£14m to Southampton were the rumours going around Palace last week, so not sure he'll be coming here on loan I'm afraid |

Not rubbish at all He’s a centre half by trade and wasn’t good enough to play in a central two. We didn’t have a CB at the club who was good enough to play in a two, and Warburtons continued faith nearly cost him his job. He looked like a gonner post the Cardiff game, but they gave him another shot, he switched to 3 against Norwich and beyond, and we never looked back for the rest of the season. Especially, once Stef and Charlie came in. Many forget that they were instrumental in the turnaround that season. So a centre back who isn’t good enough to play in a central pairing is not a good player, or in appreciation of his service, a good fit if that makes it sound more palatable. We, and most other clubs have defensive central midfielders who can slot into a 3 when required, it’s a simple transition. A CB who can only play that way, often down to erratic decision making, is a luxury. |

Chair plays on the left. It’s the humongous void vacated by Willock that we desperately need to fill. Smyth will get into positions based on his pace and willingness to get in behind, but as we saw last season it nearly never results in anything. I mean anything. If there was one to come in on loan from the top flight, that would be the position I’d try to fill. We don’t have the money to replace a player of Willock’s quality, as tough a pill as that is to swallow for some on here. His renewed confidence and return to form was instrumental to our improvement in the 2nd half of the season and he leaves a huge gap. |

I took a year off last year, so didn't qualify for the loyalty discount. It was a simple ticket search |

I might be going mad, but earlier I went to vote with my feet for a season ticket after taking a year out last year, knowing what silly boll*ks was bringing to the table. I'm pretty sure when I looked a month ago, my old bronze seat was just under £500 (£498 from memory). Today it seems to be £550 odd. With uptake high I think they might be upping the prices as we edge closer to the start. £550 for the cheapest season ticket watching championship football is a bit of a pi$$ take. I went on the side of I'll pick n choose my games, which inevitably ends up with me going feck it, I'll watch a stream. Last year, I went from season ticket to 2 home games and an away one. With the new sky deal, they could end up pricing themselves out. |

great left foot apparently...does nobody remember the big diagonals that almost never found their target. granted he was ever present, but mostly average/pony at times. gets a bang on the head from a poor challenge, brushes himself down and carries on with a bandage on his head and all of a sudden he's a cult hero and all is forgiven. I will say that the bang on the head did actually improve some of his performances for the rest of that season - maybe there's something in it. |

If his wages are really low, then we might be making a profit on the loan deal. Works for the likes of Orient because they don’t have to shell out money on a transfer, agent etc fee. If it works well they might end up with him for free |
