I've been drinking the alcohol free San Miguel for the last couple of years after being forced to quit alcohol. Almost as nice as the real thing. Alcohol free beers have improved so much over the last 10 years. |

The A4067 between Glais and Alltwen and the A465 at Glynneath are both closed due to Dennis the Menace. |

Fair enough. It's all about opinions. I still think he was our best player last season. |

I think he was our best player last season, but even if we put him back in the No 10 role now I think he'd struggle to recapture his form. A bit like Mulder last season when he finally got recalled after being unfairly dropped. A player completely ruined by a manager. |

Wales is already one of those poverty stricken regions, and most on here seem quite happy about it. Strange people. Indy Wales NOW. |

You do realise that Boris simply reverted the withdrawal agreement back to the one the EU had suggested in the first place? The EU never wanted the backstop - they wanted the border in the Irish Sea. |

For some reason the media seemed to think that now Boris doesn't need the swivel-eyed loons in his party he would sideline them and become more of a moderate. I don't know what the hell gave them that impression. He's purged his party of anyone remotely sensible and filled his cabinet with the likes of Patel, Rees Mogg and Raab. Boris is a hard right loon cleverly disguised as a hard right loon. |

You've spectacularly missed the point. I'm saying that there is so much conspiracy theorist, pseudo-scientific tin-foil hat drivel on this thread that a suggestion of wiping out the human race seems sensible in comparison. |

I would also love to see a hung parliament but I think the Tories will get a comfortable majority. The frustrating thing is a hung parliament is exactly what we had before the opposition parties gave Boris an early Christmas present by stupidly agreeing to this election. Having lost most of the votes since becoming PM he was largely powerless for the next three years. Now he could be free to wreak whatever destruction he chooses on the country, including his no-deal Brexit wet dream. The only good thing about this election is that it might finally get rid of Corbyn. |

Virtue signalling is exactly what it is. I think everyone can agree that LBGT folk should be free from discrimination and persecution and we now have laws to enforce that, but this constant need they have to celebrate their culture is tedious, as is the group hug the virtue signallers seem to want everyone to join them in. Count me out. |

It's not compensation they're after. I can understand why the families can't move on but the country needs to move on. This latest witchhunt has cost £70m but has eventually reached the right verdict. The original investigation nailed the causes and put all the right measures in place. That should have been the end of the matter. It's time for the authorities to be firm and draw a line under this - it should have happened 25 years ago. |

So the best possible outcome is the status quo. That raises the question of why the hell the opposition parties have agreed to this election. Boris must be laughing his moobs off. Anyway the tories have a majority of almost 30000 in my constituency so I very much doubt I'll be motivated to drag myself down to the polling station in the dark and driving rain. A stupid election at a stupid time of year due to a stupid opposition. |

If you think that anything other than Momentum is like the Tory party then this is a pretty pointless debate. It's like saying that anything other than the ERG is communist. |

Only Jeremy Corbyn would think centre-left means another Tory party. Socialism was all the rage in the 1950s but most of the world has moved on. There is a reason why Tory supporters were signing up to vote for Corbyn as Labour leader. There is a big demand for a centre-left party in the UK as proven by Tony Blair's huge majority but the FPTP election system is maintaining the stranglehold of the two big parties. In fact as the last European elections showed it's only the FPTP system that is preventing Labour from entirely disappearing down the plughole. |

Whereas you are right that Labour was founded as a socialist party, you also have to accept that the world has changed and there is no chance of a socialist party getting elected in modern times. The 1950s are long gone and Momentum means a perpetual Tory government. I was born in the 1970s and the only time in my lifetime there hasn't been a Tory government was during Blair's New Labour years. Labour need to move with the times and recognise just how much more support they could be getting if they embraced being a centre-left party. |
