Not breeding but have been told that if we only kept lampeyes that they would breed as there would be no other fish to eat the eggs.
Going to look into the recommended additions. Seen the tetras and they look great. So could well be the next addition. |

We've added some guppies today and they are doing well.
Any suggestions on some colourful fish that we could also add to the tank that are compatible with lampeyes and guppies? |

I do work for public bodies and local authorities as well as private clients. As part of our business we take clients out for meals and drinks etc which is normal in any business. However, whenever we have offered to wine and dine members of public bodies or local authorities the answer is always no as it could be construed as an inducement. Now, if meals and drinks out are being refused at lower levels, how the hell do they get away with it when running the country? Surely, there should be no gifts, no cash no free football tickets for any mp and members of their departments.

The red lion is quality.
New curiosity carmarthen also excellent.
Y Barbican carmarthen getting good reviews also (haven't been as yet though).
But I'll stand by my earlier comment, the shed sa1 best meal I've had for a long time. |

Update.
It appears that the heater was faulty. We had done all the treatments, placed the bag they came in in in the water etc and temp reading via 🌡 was fine. When the heater was looked at there was a crack in it. We have 1 remaining fish still going strong. Our 6 Yr old thinks the others are with the fish doctor. Been advised to do a 50% water change tomorrow and treat again. Will keep you updated as to how hutch is doing in the week. |

We went to a reputable store that a few people we know have used and recommended and we went with the recommendation of the individual at the store who appeared to be extremely well informed and kept fish himself. |

Anybody have an aquarium?
Got an aquarium last week so aquarium been up and running for a week. Bought 7 lampeyes today? With some plants etc. All but 1 have died. Done All the tests, ph nitrate and ammonia and readings are all within the correct range.
Any ideas on what's wrong? |

I'm of a certain age admittedly, but some of the kits on show in the away end yesterday were horrendous. We were talking in the car on the the return journey home and we all agreed that the kit worn by the players yesterday had no connection to the swans and certainly did not look impressive on the pitch. Small detail I know but in my mind these things count. |
