Fans are judging hi as the 20 year old kid that came 4 years ago. He now has plenty of experience including Premier league. In the championship last ime out he scored 8 in 23 in a rampant Forest team.
He is the sort of player Swansea w do well with. Cooper rated Surridge but not Goykeres who was also underrated by the Swansea faithful.
If there are any doubts a loan to buy makes sense. 30 games 10 goals £4-5m. Forest might have silly expectation of £8m and in that case can take a walk. |  |

Surridge was a fall back option mostly used as a substitute when he was with us. That’s about his level in the Championship. He would have been a good partner for Piroe but don’t see him being the main man. It’s a no from me unless we recruit another option to be the main man up front |  | | |

Surridge for Piroe the way we've played for the last two years makes no sense whatsoever. However, we're very unlikely to be playing the same way that we have for the last two years.
Duff tends to like bigger forwards. If we're after someone for quicker attackers to play off the Surridge makes a lot more sense. He's probably not the option that I'd go for, but I can see why he's being linked. |  |

I suspect he'd have had more of a look in if Cooper had stayed. I am almost certain that Martin took a dislike from day one and nothing Whittaker ever did would have been good enough.
He's absolutely not a centre forward I agree, but given how outstanding he was at Plymouth, even if it was a division below, Russy's refusal to even consider giving him a run in that role basically constituted a dereliction of duty. | |
