I cant see how they can complete it. How are they going to keep to social distance rules. How do defenders tackle without being within 2 metres. There would be no walls from freekicks. Nobody could challenge the goalkeeper. They wouldnt be able to change in the changing rooms. Assistant referees or 4th officials wont be able to check studs. Management and subs wont be able to sit together in a dugout.

Instead of paying it back, they should try and work out a deal which reduces the amount they are due to receive over the next few years and go from there. If it means players have to have lower wages when new contracts are negotiated in the future so be it.
In reality, if they are talking about £340m between 20 clubs that’s an average of £17m, if it’s then broken down pro rata on TV appearances clubs like Liverpool, Man City and Man Utd could end up paying around £25m while the less glamorous clubs at the bottom could pay about £10m to £12m.

That £340m is roughly the total prize money paid out for the position you finish in the league. Cancel the league and cancel the prize money. The bigger the club the more you lose, the smaller the club the less you lose. I know that's not strictly true with teams like Sheffield higher than their club size, but you haven't lost what you have had.

Other businesses opening is matter of need and they'll have to make rrasonable changes on public health grounds, football can't make those changes.
Now the bottom 6 EPl are saying they should cancel relegation, assuming football goes ahead, no self interst there then!
The 340 million is a payback for prize money already received but none of those clubs have had income for weeks but have still been paying massive wage bills, finding 20 million or more could be a problem for some, specially those heavily in debt.
