I don't think we'll get it overturned, and I don't think we should have pursued it. But it's a very questionable red card, and upholding it does undoubtedly send out the message that a cheating ponce like Flores (and he of course is not the only one), has nothing to fear from what they do. That isn't healthy.

What's your opinion of the cheating ponce Carroll's elbow into Chico's face in the first half that Webb didn't see?

You are a moron. Carroll twice elbowed Chico in the face Chico overreacted the second time but to say a red card for deliberately elbowing players in the face is 'dubious' names you as much thug as Carroll.
That's a pathetic argument; of course players foul each other, elbow each other etc. If you're genuinely hurt by that you go down, and if the ref sees it its a foul. If it doesn't hurt you then there isn't a problem. It is a contact sport. What Flores did, however, was to entirely invent the fact that he had been forearmed in the face, with the intention of having an opponent sent off. You can't see the difference? Flores had his arm round Carrolls neck when they tangled. Did Carroll go down like a five year old girl?
Listen, it isn't great when its your player, I get that, but I'd simply like to see c*nts like Flores, Suarez etc. punished for what they do, if they get found out. And lets face it Miss Flores was found out big time.

Found out so badly that the FA upheld the red card until the pornos rolled out their cash and bullying tactics?
You won't find many of us defending Chico's reaction but it's your argument that's pathetic if you can't see that Carroll is a dirty jerk. WHU, the academy of lovely football.........you must be very proud.
Don't be a dick. If you read my post you'll see that I said we should accept the card and move on. You're attempting to defend the indefensible. Whether it was a red card or not is largely irrelevant to the issue of whether your cheating ponce should be allowed to get away scot free for what is behaviour that demeans him as a man and you as a club.
Its generally part of the football fans make up that whilst we don't like dirty players, we utterly despise cheats. You see the point about the likes of Flores is that he'll do that anytime, to any player he's up against, dirty or otherwise.

Wonderfully ironic.
Which part of not defending Chico don't you understand? I detest his propensity to act the tw*t. Now let's hear you say the same about the thug carroll.
As the poster wrote - West Ham have a history of good relations with the FA.
That story of the fine over the points deduction, was the only time I can remember me sympathising with Warnock. Lambert also reckons the FA could create a monster

Ah, I see, tremendous. Cheating is cheating and there's no difference between what the likes of Flores does and what everyone else does. In the same way that both robbing a bank at gunpoint and a kid nicking sweets are both technically stealing. F*ck him, the cheating ponce, and here's to his premature death the miserable maricon.

That's a bit harsh, wishing an early death on the the pony tailed elbowing cheating ponce. Still he is a geordie I suppose.
Oh do f**ck off you pair of fannies. Sticking up for a cheating, diving, whining c**nt of a player. Proud of him then? Carroll's no better or no worse than the average premiership centre forward, or any number of players. You construct an argument around the fact that he supposedly elbowed the maricon at some point in the game, which somehow justifies him rolling around on the ground, the f*cking pansy, entirely fabricating an incident. Intellectually redundant bullshit, it doesn't stand up to the slightest scrutiny. Have a look at yourselves. Like I said, I genuinely hope the c*nt dies prematurely, and indeed painfully. Maricon c*nt.

LMAO. You still here? Enjoy your classy football this weekend, and your future of rattling round in the empty Olympic when the pornos have lifted all your parachute payments my little cockerney sparrer.
Yeah yeah, enjoy yourselves Saturday girls. F*cking pathetic showing at Upton Park by the way, genuinely. Can't stand Cardiff and hope you turn them over but at least they show up support wise. Team rolled over as well, guess they got intimidated by those nasty elbows.

Go on I'll bite. You seem to be missing the point by a mile. Let me spell it out again: "You won't find many of us defending Chico's reaction".
We're not trying to defend Chico's action at all - they were an embarrassment to our club. We've got a rolling around on the floor fairy, you've got the thug. Neither come out of that game with any credit and neither do your club for trying to bully the FA. End of.

Leonis, honestly, I've no argument with that, although I do think labelling Carroll as a thug is more of a defensive reaction than anything else, but its understandable. If you want thug, look at c*nts like Robert Huth and the like. Essentially what I would like to see is the sort of shit that Flores, Suarez et al pull stamped out, but clearly there is no will to do it. That sends out a terrible message to the game in my opinion. I've seen the largely critical comments on Flores on this site for which fair play, I'd be pretty confident the majority of WHU fans would think the same way if the positions were reversed. I'm not sure what mechanism you'd use to achieve this, retrospective cards etc. but it f*cking sucks and needs to end.
I also think that cheating in that way is intrinsically worse than fouling, elbowing etc. and I think I'm in the majority of people who, reacting in a fairly instinctive way, would agree.
That being the case I can't help wishing that Chico dies prematurely and slowly. Silly I know, but ho hum, there it is.
Chippy, I'm still curious as to what exactly happened in the 80's?
