I think the fact that there are so many weird, funny, messed up, thoughtful, well considered, jumped up, decent, dangerous, generous, unhinged, stable, off the wall, doom ridden, happy clappers on this forum supporting this team of consistently underperforming so called footballers masquerading as professional sportsmen.
Well it kind of explains a lot !!!!
As you need to be all of the above to follow this team !!!
This forum is the online expression of that and always makes me smile.... 😁
We have become a club that others do look down at and its because it's been run appallingly for way too long.
Lessons never seem to be learned
I have attended most seasons since 1980 and last six or seven years having a season ticket but am slowly being drowned in doom.
I actually never ever expect us to win at home and in last few years, we very rarely do.
The fact that some Saturday games get a full house and the majority of home fans show no real dissent towards the management and the players is quite unreal.
Yes many of us will moan on here but the home support and all the away games I go to, I have been so impressed with how our fans have not publicly turned on players and management. It's fantastic.
We will always have struggles more often than not and you will experience the gallows humour etc but we are all also gluttons for punishment.
I am thinking if we drop to league one, I will attend but think the season ticket will not be happening for me.
Three wins out of nowhere and the mood of the crowd and this forum changes dramatically.
I am another one that this time cannot see how we can escape our fate this season. Mainly because our saviour from.last season is not able to achieve results to with the squad this year and the green shoots are totally invisible.
I hate this club as much as I love it and therein lies the problem.
I think a club like ours attracts a certain type of person anyhow.
At least we will never be saddled with the term "glory supporters"
We support Rangers through thin and thin. We question our sanity but never enough to make a clean break...
Almost like the old phrase that used to be said about relationships with women, when it's said "you can't live with them and you can't live without them". That particular saying could well be adapted to the fate of being a supporter of the not so supa hoops !!!
It depends. I tend to enjoy the ones that make me laugh whether that's intentionally or otherwise.
XTC's posts at 11 past midnight on Saturday morning after the Friday night before, are definitely on the mark.
There's a few that go off on a million tangents and the way they write is totally weird but hilarious and fab at same time. Discodroids, Dorse.come to mind.
Danny Paddox and Connell say it as it is.
But can't really single people out above others, because most offer something and am just pleased to be on here offering my own words of non wisdom and enjoy being a part of great online space.
Clearly most of that is down to Clive and how well managed it is here, so that all can have their say and its not micro managed like many online platforms can be.
Christian Nourry opens his emails tomorrow morning.
There is an interesting PowerPoint presentation from a man who seems to have so many contacts within the game and has a reputation based on developing young talent so totally the model that we as a club are looking for.
Christian decides to press play on his data presentation package and it appears this man has even been here before and has confidently stated he has unfinished business here and it would be a dream if he could be given the opportunity.
Nourry makes a confident decision as its clear this man will change our season.
The mighty Mick Beale is appointed head coach and returns to West London - his spiritual home, he says.
The fans are ................(fill in as you wish)
Was one of the ones that thought the mutual decision to leave should have been negotiated but it's gone. It's like fans wanting Warnock back. When i was younger, I regretted a few "stupid" choices I made. I chose the wrong girlfriend. I got rid of the decent one.i took on the crap job.... etc etc....
Warburton is QPR history.
We were runners up in the old first division in 1975/ 1976. No relevance today, as well. The past decisions cannot be changed. It's done.
As far as I have garnered from others posts, Ben Williams left the club to work for an American franchise but he remains on the payroll and works remotely from Dubai.
He is not here but led to believe he is still on the payroll.
Tbh I know there is a lot of anger in particular towards new players including Celar, Santos and Madsen.
It wasn't their fault they were signed and for quite considerable amounts we believe. They couldn't turn it down even though perhaps even before getting here, they may have assessed their style of play was very unlikely to cut it in the english championship.
We seem to have had a transfer window on a par with a Hughes window or even a wind the window down Redknapp one !!!
So many players coming for life changing amounts.
Am sure they would like to be performing better of course and have to say I think as has happened a few times, you can almost visibly see the fear in some players. We have been here before sadly !!!
The West London Sport Podcast seemed to suggest that when scouting you look at players at least half a dozen times in actual games, but they felt with a few of our recent signings this has just not happened.
But Cifuentes, he is a bit better at doing these after match assassination interviews than Ainsworth, who just looked like he was out of his depth and drowning. At least Cifuentes manages to smooth over the many cracks a little easier but as others have said, there is not really much to be said in these chats.
Clearly attempting to put a positive spin without admitting we been truly awful, without actually saying that.
There is never anything worthwhile to garner from any of these chats and like others I rarely view them, for that reason.
When asked to confirm that I am a human and not a robot Danny by selecting each square that has got traffic lights in, I only succeed on my fourth attempt, whether that means I am a robot or a human, f**k knows !!!
Good song and very prophetic - my robot girlfriend likes it very very much !!
No not worked in sales but worked for a recruitment agency. So seemingly well qualified to take over from Nourry !!!!!! I would be million times worse !!!!
Actually I have in the last couple of weeks said regularly in posts I was wrong about what I had said and had mentioned that I had come round to your way of thinking.
Yes at the start of the season I could not see any issues with it but in all reality did not think it through and being probably a bit naive thinking it wasn't being used as a strategy to cover things if everything started going badly wrong.
I had the rather dim belief that our paid employees that run our club would not being doing anything that wasn't within the best interests of our club
Sadly I was very wrong
You obviously got your finger on the pulse given your role and perhaps seen it before.
It's a worry but yes hold my hands up. My thinking was misguided..
Which I hadn't been though. The problem is the more things start to deteriorate there will be a greater need for more transparency.
