| News Comment | A way to win - report at 11:18:56
Fantastic report Clive, Thanks for your work all season. I flew in to watch the game from Spain and as Gary O'Neil (who you are right to say was stellar before his red card) walked off, I couldn't help but think that the journey would have been in vain. But up pops Bobby and gives us a moment that no one who was there will ever forget. It was so good to see so many blue and white clad fans waving the flags and bouncing for the three minutes that were left after the goal. I couldn't even see the pitch for most of the injury time. A sickener for Derby but you are right, that day was our day. A beautiful day I will never forget. Our QPR. |

What a day! One that will live long in the memory. The sweetest point is that we can now look forward to a totally different year next year. Clive - just wanted to say a massive thank you for the time and effot you put into these reports. Good on ya mate - those fans from far away really appreciate it. Pasalo bien el verano amigo! Nos vemos el año que viene. |

I just want to add to the posts here that show how much QPR fans appreciate the work that NW did for QPR. There can be few more difficult posts than the one that he took up 22 months ago and yet he did an unbelievable job. He has become one of the best managers QPR has had at least during the last 20 years and will be remembered fondly for how he turned this club around. You will always be welcome back at the loft Neil. Good luck to you. |

Despite the fact that both Clive and NW stated that the second handball was not a penalty I agree with adhoc that there is definitely a case. His hand was well away from his body and deflected the cross. Boothroyd just needs a goal or two under his belt then he'll thrive. Give him a few more matches. Well done for not laying down and dying lads - to be honest I had given up hope for a point - felt it was going to be one of those days. Glad the lads had more faith. Last comment - a bowler in cricket regularly puts the ball on a 6 inch square, a decent fly half regularly puts the ball through the posts from 40 metres at an angle (50 in a straight line), a golfer can find the green from over 200 yards but from 25 metres, with the sun shining directly in to Shay Given's face not one of the 5 or 6 players that stuck their hand up to take a free kick tested the keeper. Stay behind after training lads - with Taraabt's quick feet and clunking centre backs clattering into him we are going to get plenty of free kicks from this range - it could be a fountain for goals. |

Agree with Jobley - I was in X block and saw that idiot with the braces who spent half his time offering out the Bolton fans and this was before the match had even started. I thought the Bolton fans were pretty good - what would we do if we were 4 up. Take this piss - that's what. Got to learn how to take it. And singing "is that all you take away" when they have organised a boycott of stumping up 50 quid (and should be applauded for doing so) is a bit odd. Banter is great but one or two made themselves out to look foolish |

Our promotion was built on a solid defence. We've upped a level and the defence needs upping too. Clear to everyone that our whole back 4 is not good enough. Orr is getting horrible marks on rate the players but I don't think he deserved such low marks. However, he and hill, Gabbidon and Hall are going to creamed by players who are sharper than this relatively flat Bolton attack. If we can sort that out then going forward we can do some damage - but will FB and BE wake up and see what could be in store if they don't. Good on those who stood aan applauded the lads at the final whistle - if they show heart then for some at this level there's little more that we can ask of them. |
