As I said earlier, I don’t really know what that means. If it just means making sure there isn’t too much revisionism of history I’m ok with it. If it’s trumpeting critical race theory I’m not. |

Absolutely. But in this case we’re talking about out libraries/museums/statues. As Car said earlier, they key is it’s truthful. |

I don't really understand what a lot of that is on about and there's a big risk to using oversimple terms and lumping people together. I really don't like these made up words and terms. But... It reminds me of the song and dance when the National Trust pointed out some uncomfortable facts about how many of it's properties were founded and funded. To me it seems just truthful to point out that those who made fortunes in sugar/cotton etc. did so in a way that we would see as unethical today. If it's saying that libraries need to have a range books that reflect the experiences of those who lived it that's fine. Unfortunately, it doesn't come across that way from the article. |

Lots of talk of the low Labour vote and the rise of Reform, both of which are statistically true. However, UKIP got 3.8 million votes in 2015 and Reform 4.1 million in 2024. Doesn't seem like a huge rise to me. |

Before anyone says it, no I don’t think this represents everyone who voted Reform but it did make me laugh 🤣

Although having a prisons minister who’s day job is cutting keys for any lock is pretty ironic 🤣 |

They were extremely efficient. Some of the swings including Tory collapses were extraordinary as were some of the accompanying stories. Thérèse Coffey saw a swing against her of 21k seeing the Tories lose Suffiok Coastal for the first time ever. |

Absolutely. Could be brilliant. As I said yesterday, it feels like the grown ups have returned. |

With the exception of Lammy it’s been great watching the new cabinet bring announced. It feels like the grown ups are in charge again. |

Lammy feels like a mis-step to me too. Probably just there to keep the left of the party quiet. From a personal point of view I’m delighted to see Bridget Phillipson as Education Secretary, the first person on Free School Meals as a child to hold the role. |

Which part of that article states Starner holds any accountability? Sadly, much was missed in not stopping this monster, but to blame Starmer is ludicrous. He apologised and of course he should have as the DPP. |

The OP poll had the Tories in a strong second yet not one person has come to their defence so far. |

Explain to me why Starmer is responsible for not prosecuting Saville. Bearing in mind Saville was never arrested, no prosecutions were brought by the complainants. |

Their manefesto health pledges would cost an awful lot of money IMO. |

They can but they'll have to do three things. 1. The LDs ground machine did very well in targeting seats they could win. Reform will have to become a 'proper' party and evolve into a more traditional election machine. 2. They've had a massive bump with the return of Farage. They need to work out what comes next. 3. They've got four MPs in Parliament for 5 years to show they can talk about things apart from immigration to show they're not just a protest vote. Also everything depends on the performance of Labour. If they're rubbish, the door will be wide open. If things get better, voters will stop being so angry and the vote will seep back to the center right. |
