if they can't be arsed to post a summary with bullet points on their website, then i can't be arsed to download it |

get the reason behind it, but still seems like a negative connotation to me. i wouldn't want to wear a top quoting 'we're just a turning off the A40' |

they're only a pt above us, i'm going for a home win. if they can't scrape at minimum a draw, then for the rest of the season, they should consider using the pitch to host car boot sales. |

just a random thought, but has anyone ever entained the idea of a national academy (on a much bigger scale) where instead of individual clubs, with individual budgeting restraints, trying to run their own academys', they simply pay a subscription to a national or league academy? maybe you could have a draft system whereby the smaller clubs get first pick, but they can only retain the player for a set period earning a percentage of the transfer fee in the process ? i try and equate it to other businesses where you take on X number of apprentices every year, but you're then faced with the reality that only a tiny number might actually make it onto the 'shop floor'! Seems like a massive gamble to me. |

...any modern day boy band. makes me think of just how inherently corrupt the music industry really is in the bands that it promotes and the bands (with considerably more talent) that it allows to fail. was sat in a cafe the other day and Take That were playing in the background, couldn't believe just how sh*t they really are when you listen to one of their so called hits. |

think it's interesting that the current stewards are looking to get out so soon, maybe they know what's coming? still, as long as i've got my 3 days of emergency supplies i should be fine! |

...well come the last game of the season, i hope they're making plans for each and every member of the squad to line up and make a public apology to the fans |

what is your prediction for the number of points needed for 4th place ? would be interesting to see just how many wins we really need. |

...taking into account the possibility of an underlying mental health issue effecting someone's decision or judgement, how do you prove consent in the modern world, witnesses, documents, video, apps ? any violation of another person is clearly unacceptable, but it seems like a bit of a minefield to me. |

the book 'Defending the guilty' (978-0141042725) highlighted for me what a farce the law really is. i don't think the court gives a toss whether people are innocent or guilty as long as one side gets its 3pts. |

| Forum Thread | Player values at 11:33 6 Jan 2024
maybe it's just me, but i look at a lot of modern footballers as agency workers ie 'if it doesn't work out, i'll just phone up the agency (or agent) and get a gig somewhere else'. In most professions, if you're not good enough or simply under performing you will either be sacked, made redundant or sent for more training, footballers don't seem to follow this model and it makes me question what it is doing to their values ? looking at transfermarkt.co.uk for example, i see Dykes is allegedly valued at 2.2m, following a reduction of 300k. has anyone on here found a better site that routinely shows what these performances are doing to their values? maybe a cold, hard dose of reality might wake them up a bit.. |

there was some suggestion on here a while back of appointing him a mentor, i wonder if the club have actually considered this ? |

crossed my mind as well, definitely alot more personal for him with his connection to the club. maybe he'll pop up on Netflix, 'Gaz is back on the road.... cos you can't stop the music' |

gonna go for a 3-1 to the r's, there's alot of psychology in sport, ability aside, i don't think they have genuinely enjoyed playing under gaz, hopefully tomorrow might a chance for them to get their mojo back. |
