Ki Never a fan but he was good in the first half but had to play as a third CB in the second to make up for Mawson's poor positioning. Felt sorry for the lad after the OG and his confidence was shot for a while but then he tried to over compensate and went for too many balls that other Swans players had covered. He'll get there but tonight needed experience IMO especially as both left backs have proven to be suspect and Hoorn has only just come in to the team. Routledge had a good game as did Llorente. |

Goodbye Planet Swans Someone earlier had asked where a particular poster had gone. The same could be asked of many as the clientele logging in to this site has slowly dwindled. Could the reason people have left be that personal abuse usually begins within five response? or No one is allowed to express an opinion that differs from the clique? or Is it in response to one poster's (in particular) attempts to politicise the board? or Is is another's determination to post as many racist threads (while dressing them as being non-racist) as possible? or Is it the constant attacks on anyone who doesn't sing the praises of the latest poster boy? or Could it be that fair minded appraisal of previous players and managers is a sure way to attract further personal abuse? I will miss the interaction, debate, agreement and disagreement with the majority on here but the small handful of hate mongers have driven out yet another. |

If we could make a better shots / goals ratio we'd be top 6 and that's what will be the difference between the teams tomorrow. If we convert our chances it should be all over by half time. |

Wouldn't go with Fulton & Grimes together unless we have to - not enough experience and quite lightweight as a pair. Personally I 'd go with a second string rather than 3rd choice & under 21s (who have already stepped up a class and will get tested there. Maybe Nordfeldt Angel Amat Bartley Tabanou Leon Nathan Grimes/ Fulton Emnes Routledege Eder Sub Vickers Grimes/Fulton Taylor Ash Gomis Siggy |

If Stones goes I expect we'll be defending bids for Taylor but Everton will end up with one of the glut of Spurs defenders, possibly Ben Davies. Although if Stone goes I think Martinez will leave soon after. |

If Ki is fit he plays alongside Cork and Siggy drops to the bench. |

I've read enough posts on here and elsewhere to know about 1/2 our ST holders won't go. So more chance for new and floating fans to become hooked, as long as the club makes and effort which includes playing a decent 11. I would also like to see the club tell those who attend Capital One Cup games from round 2 (if we progress) they will be given first refusal for the next round (limited tickets for away ties on a first come first serve basis for the same group) irrespective of being ST holders etc. I know quite a few who supported the cup run in 2012 / 13 up to the semi-finals (home as they couldn't get away tickets) who couldn't get a ticket for the final. |
| Forum Thread | Jose's club medical at 01:39 13 Aug 2015
During Jose's annual medical this morning the team was shocked to hear agonising screams coming from the Eva Carneiro’s consulting room. Assuming Jose had completely lost the plot Eden Hazard kicked the door down (it was open but it reminded him of a bellboy ...) only find Mourinho curled up and weeping pitifully on the floor. An apologetic Eva explained, "My English is not so good ... but I can see now the recommendation from the infirmary says 'prick his boil'!" Coat. [Post edited 13 Aug 2015 1:43]

The Mail's angle is obviously .... the Mail's angle. I'm surprised it didn't include the mandatory slating of the HRA and Brussels for making it illegal for anyone other than immigrants to wear corn rows. I did like "'appropriating black culture' without which we'd still be listening to Faldiroldiriday music. |

Good luck with that. Although it is the truth it won't wash with some on here. |
| Forum Reply | Ki or DeGuzman? at 16:41 12 Aug 2015
Wasn't he shipped out after going back to Korea because he was 'injured' after being told to stay with the club? Or was it when he was 'injured' after reaching his guaranteed 20 games? I'd have Ki as one of the must have players in the starting line up now but, and here's the thing about Ki' first season, he wasn't very good and had a big attitude (or at least Daddy did). Watched most of the game on TV and it really was an open - not a million miles from our game with Chelsea. Both sides have potential to do some damage but I thought Southampton weren't as fluid as last season (only game one of thirty eight I know). Any complacency and we'll pay. On top form we will win. Getting points from the Manchesters, Arsenal & Chelsea is brilliant and moral boosting but getting them from our rivals 5 - 20 is more so. |

Is Vickers with us or not. Thought someone suggested he'd not been taken on. (Without my glasses it was difficult to differentiate Fab, Nord and Vickers. - also a bit of a distance from the warm up v Deportivo) |
