From what I saw of rendall and gubbins, if either play we are in big trouble. Only seen a glimpse, but neither seem anywhere near the level from what I saw. Out of all the unknown cb options, woodman looked the most confident to me. But I'm just hoping either fox, jcs or/and a new signing coming in for Saturday otherwise I can see an absolute hammering. Last thing we need now is a bad start especially without our home game in the opening fixtures |

I don't want to be negative as we are restricted on who we bring in etc of course and maybe he's improved but in general it feels like although we need to be realistic, do we have high enough expectations this year? As much as I'd take survival at this point, we surely have as good chance as others to finish in top half if we are positive. At the moment it feels like we are being looked at as another Wycombe with no expectation at all |
| Forum Thread | Field and Stef roles at 21:23 23 Jul 2022
Am I the only one who feels a bit concerned by what looks like a switch of roles between Field and Stef, as in field moving further forward and Stef moving further back? Ok the season hasn't started yet, but for me field is vital to protecting the defence. Especially when this year we have lost the experience of Wallace, moses and barbet. Johansen seems more creative and was wasted too deep last year. You can't tell too much from pre season but so far u could argue that the defence looks the weakest position and to have field further forward for me makes no sense. Hope its a genius move, but it worries me as things stand [Post edited 23 Jul 2022 21:44]

Just noticed, Joel Lynch plays for Crawley if im not wrong? Will be interesting coming up against him Saturday! Look forward to witnessing the hopeful hoofs and clumsy challenges outside the box Will probably get a hat trick now |
| Forum Thread | Goal from Gray - on side? at 15:16 4 Nov 2021
Sorry if I've missed this, but after the ball hit the net last night, I was certain the lino was going to flag for offside. The pass just seemed too good to be true and Gray was in acres of space. I've not really seen or heard anything debating this, or seen an angle to check it out for myself. But did anyone else think it was dubious, or was it just the angle? Either way, we are due the luck! |

I've met osman several times. Quite recently he bumped into me out and about, then grabbed a match worn shirt to give me and signed it. Top bloke |

I started a thread on this early last season, and kept being told "do you think Warbs doesnt want to play him, hes not fit" Personally I just dont get it. Granted, he may not be a starter but hes not exactly old, and from what ive seen he still has the legs to play a good part. Not seen him have one bad performance when he comes on, always been a real threat and puts better balls in the box than most of our players. As an additional bonus, hes an r's fan so will give that extra bit more effort and experience. I was also disappointed he didn't come on at the weekend. Going forward we looked unusually poor and the game was crying out for him, not Thomas - who so far has impacted nowhere near what Adomah has in his showings. Not saying he wont eventually, but so far I can only judge what Ive seen - and that is him running a lot, but nothing else |

I get that, but we did have a spell of what was it, 10 games without a win or something? Surely in that time, he should have been given more game time - even if he only last an hour or so. Think hes 33 - not exactly old. Cameron 35 years old, has played far more Im not Adomah by the way |

But we weren't playing this formation when things weren't going well. I just dont get it really. Seems obvious he wasnt a Warburton signing. He must feel gutted, to finally be signed by the club he loves - only to rot on the bench |

What does everyone think now? Still making no sense to me! I read recently he has had 6 starts, 4 assists all season! Crazy that a player comes on and does well nearly every time, yet has had such little game time. We have done incredibly well in 2021, and im not complaining about that at all, but think its crazy that he hasn't played more games - especially in the first half of the season, and through the period where we struggled and complained we were "leggy". Quality player, who supports the club, and a very experienced pro. Feel sorry for him, and wonder how much better we might have done earlier in the season if he had more game time. Clearly the best crosser we have |

Im not saying Dykes wont come good at some point, but what winds me up is that he has started most games this season and scored only one from open play, misses a number of sitters but still starts the next game every single time. Im not saying Bonne is the answer, as he has been suspect as well but cant remember a time when a player has had so many chances, so low on confidence yet continues to keep his place. Yes, he adds physicality etc, I get that - but not sure how Bonne, Kelman etc must feel if they cant get into a side where the striker still continues to miss sitters. Just think for his own good, he should have a break from the side and give one of the other strikers a chance to have a run - just like Dykes has had. Dont change a winning side, I get this too - but still, was happening before this run [Post edited 25 Feb 2021 12:17]

Interesting this one! Austin clearly is a better striker than anyone we have and not only is a goalscorer but brings experience, confidence and happiness back at the club. It does make me wonder if we had the opportunity to sign him next year somehow - if we would actually do so. Sounds obvious to most of us i'm sure, that "of course Warbs would want him" but I have my doubts after seeing Adomah still benched most of the time. Clearly he wasnt a Warbs signing either If any chance of signing Austin next year from the start, I would think that with some added quality we would be feeling very confidence rather than this year where most of us probably anticipated a struggle from the off |

Sane here I've not had one saveloy for the last few years. I put my hands up, results are all my fault |
| Forum Thread | Saveloy and chips at 11:33 28 Dec 2020
In the 2011/2012 season we were doomed to be relegated with some daunting fixtures to round off the season. Think we had spurs, Liverpool, Arsenal, man City, Stoke etc. At the beginning off this run I had saveloy and chips from Billy's Ocean which resulted in a win in the first game. It became a lucky omen and decided to eat it before each game and we miraculously stayed up! What are your lucky omens? We need them all right now! |

I find this whole season frustrating to be honest. We have a striker in poor form, yet neither of the 2 strikers get a chance MW complains non stop about us being leggy yet never gives Bettache or any others a chance. They must be completely demotivated if they cant get in this side, in this diabolical form. Beyond weird |

Just wondered what peoples thoughts are on this now? Im not saying Adomah is our savior but hes an experience proven quality player at this level and is barely getting look in. Warburton continues to talk about us being leggy etc yet he doesnt appear to get any minutes. Just cant understand it to be honest. Most games that he has started, he has played well then subbed and the games we have brought him on in tend to be when we are chasing the game and too late to do anything. Starting to look like he was not a Warburton signing and just isn't interested in giving him a fair run. We are not playing great at the moment, and surely hes a better option than playing Chair wide left and Carrol attacking midfield. Not sure we can question his fitness when its December now. | Forum Reply | Warbs, Kane and all things QPR - should have been new thread at 22:34 7 Nov 2020
I agree the subs helped but for me the reason for that was because the lineup was wrong in the first place. Chair on the left was never going to work, same with Carrol at number 10. So Willock coming on the wing and doing a great job was no surprise. Should have been a direct swap for BOS in the first place with Chair in the middle. That way we would have had an attacking threat on both wings and got the most out of Chair |

I wouldn't have thought so but just cant understand it when he seems to be one of our stronger players. If not fit, fine but seems to be fit enough to be playing pretty well each time I've seen him. Not seen any reason to take him off personally, but what do i know |
| Forum Reply | Obsession with subbing Adomah at 17:42 7 Nov 2020
No doubt about that, but not like hes only played 2 games for us. Surely built a bit of fitness by now. Seems to be sending some great deliveries in each game then is whipped off |
