He signed a new contract in the summer. He would be owed a massive pay off. I have heard through the grape vine, that the club know we are still likely to go down even with a new manager, so there is no great drive to have to be paying him off 10 million and also paying another manager who would want a good deal to even consider coming here, then get relegated anyway. Any decent new manager would want funds in January, and our owners can't provide them because of fair play etc. Managers like Potter, therefore wouldnt come, so there arn't better replacements available anyway. It's the same mistakes from the owners, yet again. | |
