The not guilty plea cases in the magistrates courts and more serious ones going to crown court are starting to trickle through. Some posters said that this would be the test of whether there is anything in the claim of "two-tier justice". At the time there were also allegations of "two-tier policing". For example, there was the case of the mob that surrounded the Birmingham pub, hospitalised a customer unwise enough to venture outside, and tried to slash the tyre on a Sky broadcast crew van. Well, one of the few persons charged that day has now appeared in court. The verdict is likely to add grist to the mill.

The EDL as we know do not exist, the Muslim equivalent does. The MDL, and people have been jailed for far less over the past few months. He took a stick, regardless of what it was to a breakdown of public order. The intention was clear.

He never got promoted again. And left that particular force with what I can only describe as one of the finest stools I’ve ever seen on the chief constables desk.
The problem is the alleged decision makers not the workers who go above and beyond, it’s just a shame the general public are a bit too thick to see it through their own ignorance.

Where’s the evidence that today’s police are turning a blind eye and not protecting young girls? We have questions quite rightly been asked about Rochdale, but things have quite rightly moved on since then.
The streets should absolutely be safe from predators regardless of whether they’re from a minority community, a majority community or someone in a position of power like Wayne Couzens. The law’s the law and it should be applied without fear or favour. [Post edited 25 Sep 7:41]

The police do, in the main, the PM isn’t as powerful as he thinks if the general belief is he can instruct certain bodies to do as he wishes. He can influence, but the special groups who identify these issues are not funded well, the police hierarchy rely upon the goodwill of officers who do these jobs, and I’ve never seen any person flinch from that. Even when the chips are down.
I doubt there are easy targets in all police work. Or easy jobs. You seem to be confusing arrests and investigation with the sentencing of the courts. That’s not the police remit. They can only push their investigations in a lawful manner, it’s the CPS who decide. Times have changed with the ever evolving population make up and behaviour.
To investigate and pursue the offenders in any crime is one thing, especially bringing that to a certain standard. After that it’s down to solicitors and barristers and their competency to prosecute or defend. Many barristers can become a prosecutor one day and a defence barrister the next. As for innocent young girls, that needs to be a learned parental path, that’s where the issues are. As for Starmer referencing young girls in his numerous speeches, he really does need to drag himself out of the eighties and understand that the parents and carers of ‘children’ are the first stop. That’s where the issues begin. And not only with young girls being victims because they offend as much as well. Added to that this parental issue also produces many ‘children’ who with the correct initial guidance won’t produce victims and criminals.
He’s playing on the public sympathy and blaming too many public bodies, he needs to understand that by discriminating as he does regards ‘children’ he is just talking the talk without a bleeding clue what he is on about.

During Covid I marched with many thousands (huge numbers for Australia) against the mandating of the vaccine, I believe it should be a choice and not forced on you to keep your job or enter a pub etc. eventually the mandates were dropped, was it a result of the protests? who knows but they certainly played a part.

Coconut is a well known term in the cities used to refer to a black/coloured person on the outside but a "white " person on the inside." White person" meaning that he /she relates ostensibly to white culture and norms which could relate to occupation / choice of domicility/ political views /friends and relationships/pastimes etc etc.

I'm really surprised that you have not heard that term, Major. In the distant past "coco-tops" was used as a derogatory term for black persons, I think with certain hair styles. More recently "coconut" has been used to refer to persons alleged to be brown on the outside but white inside - racially inauthentic. It is a modern version of "Uncle Tom" or "house negro".

The female Gareth ,infamous ,notorious for “ defending” the truly dangerous and she does it with a straight bat . I remember being told by a barrister they “have” to accept a brief no matter what the client is charged with .
