I just can't understand what the thinking was behind the double substitution. Dozzell yes, but Amos too? Hendrick was his usual uninspiring self. |
That double substitution cost us the game IMO.
One of them for Dozzell 100% but both of them and no subs left with a number of players on yellows on a very difficult pitch was brainless. No chance of an attacking sub once we went behind either.
Also it looked like it was Wallace who made the correct decision to take Marshall off as he was clearly making his injury far worse.

That being said we haven’t been at the races in the second half , we really do need some pace in our side and two new fullbacks are a must in the summer along with a striker who can run the channels |

Good post its impossible to figure out why we stopped playing and they took over completely. We had the lead and all the momentum yet came away with nothing but injuries very frustrating .Time to regroup. |

Hendrick doesn't seem to be contributing at all and did seem a very negative change. Doesn't look anywhere near the player he seemed to be at Burnley a few seasons ago |  |

Agree that our (coaching) bench was part of the problem tonight rather than the solution.
Re the must-win vs Posh, I'm sure Mark will be reminding us that 'they're very good at what they do' (i.e. letting in goals and not winning games) just in case.

Willock being kicked off the pitch really changed the game he looked right on it. Worrying about Marshall looked like he pulled his hamstring so could be out for weeks. Hope we can get an emergency loan to cover. Thought Sanderson and Amos did ok shame macallum was injured could have done with his pace. Onto Sunday be interesting to see what team we put out. | | | |

Marshall's injury at first looked just like a tweak but he'll almost certainly have made it worse playing on like he did, heroic though it was. |  |

It was a disappointing result, but not a season killer. However if Willock has a medium to long-term injury, and if we have a makeshift goalie for longer than the next game then it's going to very hard for sure. We might just have hung on for the draw if not for Marshall's injury, which, IMHO, turned the match conclusively. I think the subs were right, at the time they were made. Neither Amos nor Dozzell were in the match, Johansen and Hendrick are stronger and more experienced. Warbs was trying to save the point, but circumstances changed everything | | | |
