I cancelled mine years ago just after we slid gracefully out of the Prem, the last thing I recall coming out of my flat screen thing in the corner of the living room was seeing and hearing Paul Merson trying to explain to Phil Thompson (big nose) the scientific theory explanation of the observed phenomenon, at least that's what it sounded like to me. In other words he (Paul Merson) or me (Ted Hendrix) had gone completely mad.

You have to call them though, it cant ge paused online..
I'm Clinging on for the NRL , you get 3 live games per week...Once that goes, i'm hitting the pause button quicker than Rick Deckard on his Esper 3000 photo analysis machine.

Just under two hours on the blower in total of jumping through Sky's hoops. One hour wait on 0333 759 3521 Talked to the first operator - can cancel (not pause) sky sports but surprise, surprise my movies goes up by an almost similar amount. Told them that's not happening. Ask to be put through to cancellations. Another 30 mins wait Surprise , surprise...they are able to "review" it. Lots of arguing over packages/contract length (to keep movies, I had to extend my movie contract to 18 months, to keep my existing movie discounts, although this can be cancelled if I choose to stop my entertainment package when that contract ends in 12 months time as the premium channels are linked to this.)
Lots of notes made to quote back to them. Dates, times etc so the phone call can be listened to again, should they hide between smoke and mirrors in a years time. Result ...saving of £23 a month to lose Sports HD And the nice people at Sky also waived the £10 admin fee.. Stay firm but polite Agree with BlackCrowe...that's a business I won't lose sleep over

Yes.It said waiting times are over 1 hour but they answered after 5 mins.No haggling,no pressure to stay.They just cancelled the movies and sports straight away.

Just checked mine and I'm one of those that always calls them at the end of each contract to negotiate my price. Just looking at Sports and it 'only' costs me £14 per month. (I get 50% reduction) so will leave for time being.
I feel they would only sting me in the long run if I cancel now and when I come to renew when the contract is up they will claw it back somehow! I will use this in my bargaining power when I call them to say I didn't desert Sports when nothing was on :)
