"The opposite of love, after all, is not hate, but indifference."
You seen Stranger Things Bluce? I know you love your 80s films , I just wondered what your take on it was.. I thought it got the 80s thing bang on.
It was great. Entirely legit. I thought Winona Ryder was amazing, as was the kid playing Eleven. Brilliant stuff.
Felt so authentically 80s too. Yep, top show.
Stefan Moore, Stefan Moore running down the wing. Stefan Moore, Stefan Moore running down the wing. He runs like a cheetah, his crosses couldn't be sweeter. Stefan Moore. Stefan Moore. Stefan Moore.
Not sure whether it is on UK Netflix (I'm in Canada) but for anyone interested in Photography check out:
Tales by Light
Helps if you have a big 4k TV - colours literally pop out of the screen. Each episode is only 25 mins long so fine for us 50-somethings that can't stay up after 8.30 p.m ;-)
I have just watched the entire series 1 of Stranger Things.
IT'S A FCKING KID'S SHOW, PEOPLE!
Jesus F. Christ, what drugs are you all on?
Same..I kept waiting for something profound to happen. Can't understand the hype tbh. Won't bother with 2nd series. Reccomend Fauda. A thriller about the Palestinian crisis.. I hope they do a 2nd series.

Thank you, Pommy, I thought I might be on my own on this one.
Made by the "Duffer Brothers"? In Oz, a 'duffer' steals cattle; these boys steal ideas. Take one part kids' film, say Goonies or similar (Spielberg is good), mix in a few Stephen King bits (but not anything well-made like Kubrick's Shining) and top up with lashings of Fargo, but not the ace series 1, the dumb series 2 with the UFOs (that '80s styling, yeah, we'll keep that!).
I did like Paul Reiser as the scientist, a similar weasely character to that he played in Aliens.
How this program got to be #37 top program on IMDb is frankly beyond my comprehension.
Did some-one say Hunt for the Wilderpeople was on Netflix? I can't find it.
Just closed my Netflix account as I have an Amazon Kodi stick. Paid for itself in the first week. However, have watched Narcs - brilliant. Taboo - unmissable Just finished season 1 of The Man in the High Castle - definitely worth a watch. House of Cards is class,
Im on a mission with this show so .... It's Always Sunny in Philadephia 4 thirty-something losers who run a bar that no-one goes to. Surprisingly politically incorrect. For a US show. Eg Well you did call the guy a fagg*t" "Well he ordered a Chardonnay, what was I supposed to do?"
Danny De Vito is in it but he's doesn't really have a "star" part and isn't in the first series at all.

Said it before and i'll say it again, Eastbound and Down. Better than all t'others. And given the fact my judgement is superior to anybody else on here, best off listening to me as usual.

I'm watching season 2 of The Man in the High Castle at the moment. Love the idea, but it's quite taxing on the old grey cells.

There's about 12 seies on Netflix, fill yer boots!
I've been up to date with Always Sunny for ages. The latest series is amazing so far (four eps in).
Archer is on Netflix. Amazing animated series.

Started to watch Black Mirror because of this thread.Outstanding awsomeness with a bit of superb chucked in. (The first one is like a Yes Minister episode written by Irvine Welsh)
started better call Saul on the weekend. Nearly finished the first series of two. Excellent stuff and not too much of a commitment like Breaking Bad was.

The latest series is fantastic, the San Junipero episode was probably the best thing I watched last year.
I have just recently been converted to Netflix by my gf.
We are watching "The OA". It's weird. It's got better from the first episode, which I really wasn't sure about, to the extent I'm now keen to see where it goes and can say I'm intrigued. Will save judgement on whether it's "really good" or "total nonsense" until nearer the end.
Always interested in other Netflix recommendation. Several people have recommended Black Mirror and House of Cards to us.
Luther is ace. Loved it. One of the best things the Beeb did for a while.
Along that line, "Taboo" on BBC, atm, is great. Tom Hardy, Ridley Scott as executive director, stellar support cast....it's really good. It's the sort of thing you expect Sky Atlantic to snap up here (one of the main channels in the US made it), but fair play to the Beeb.
I watched the whole series of The OA in two days -- but I'm still not sure whether it was brilliant or daft... Possibly both. Quite haunting in a strange way.

It must just be me, I thought Black Mirror was absolute gash, 1st episode aside. Had such high hopes after that 1st one....
