EFL Fixtures out on 26 June.....So
at 12:17 26 Jun 2024

Had a box for my 50th in 2019 for the 5th round FA cup match vs Watford.

Stevie Palmer and Wayne Fereday were the ambassadors doing the rounds that day, and I had to apologize to Palmer for all but ignoring him, as I spent all my time talking to Fereday who was one of my 80s heroes. When I did talk to Palmer, he was an absolute gent about it.

Cracking evening, despite the result.

Surely this is the end of the TAA midfield experiment. He's been totally anonymous and its like playing with 10 men

The only reason I'll watch any of the England friendlies leading up to the tournament is if I think he's going to get decent game time.

Transfer rumours 2024
at 07:14 19 May 2024

Its to keep a steady stream of news items every few days during a period which is usually totally devoid of club news with everyone on holiday.

Clubs equivalent of clickbait ... and its working with me.

I actually quite like this drip feed of information. I know full well a number of these decisions and contracts were signed weeks ago.

Normally this time of year I barely refresh newsnow qpr news more than a couple of times a week .. now its a couple of times a day.

it maybe they like Walsh as his longer term replacement, and so maybe keep Begovic for one more season and get Walsh out for a half season loan in league 1 or 2, and then bed him in 2nd half of next season,

He managed to take 12 points from the top 6.

since our transfer window, from the Blackburn game that's 28 points from 16, which is comfortable playoff form.

5.2/1 on Betfair. I've had a few bob on it .. I fail to see how we are such a big price.

To put this in context we were 11/2 to win away at Leicester

Armstrong New Contract ?
at 06:36 7 Apr 2024

Armstrong's not helped by the fact that when he does get behind the opposition defence, he then has to wait 30 seconds before any of our lazy arsed players saunter into the final third to offer him a pass.

So we'd have no players and a very rich manager on 10 million a year ? ;)

We really need to capitalise on their injury and suspension issues. Without Jack Clarke they have little threat, and they have significant defensive injury list.

That being said we are Charity Park Rangers so who knows.

Field
at 12:22 8 Mar 2024

I was saying to my brother the other week when he was suspended and both Colback and Hayden played well that I didn't see how he got back in the side because he didn't offer the ability to receive, turn and distribute the ball.

Wednesday, Field made me eat those words, and I'm so happy that he did, as it is difficult to find a more likeable player in that team.

Not only did he put to bed any ghosts from his misses earlier in the season, but he was picking up turning and distributing the ball in a way I've rarely seen from him on those occasions he did go deeper..

We've now got genuine competition for those midfield positions, and options to play with a 3 , or a 2-1, or a 1-2, or a 1-2-1.

Chair
at 15:02 7 Mar 2024

Part of why he looked less influential yesterday was that WBA nearly always had four or 5 around him when he was playing on the left. One of the reasons we had more joy down the right.

When Willock came on, and Chair moved more central he started to influence the game more.
