I guess it works both ways - what with Thorn and Terry both being recalled - but again were they on "season-long" loans or month-to-moth because of Non-league rulings?!?

I guess the clubs taking these players on loan know of the possibilities of the player being recalled if doing well and have the option of cancelling if the loan is not going as well as planned, so it fits both sides and as Matt Sadler at Walsall said that they were lucky to get Lowe in the first place and are very happy with his contribution when he was there!

The thing I do not like is the hoovering up of talent by the "top clubs" that have no real ambition to play or develop some of these players and just use them as a way to get around FFP (or whatever it is called nowadays!)

An interesting article on the BBC website regarding loan signings and the recall clause for the season-long loans.

As we were recently affected by this with the recall of Joe Taylor by Luton to then send him to Lincoln - I thought some might be interested.

looked a bit rusty coming off the bench vs Harrogate - which is worrying considering he has played 25 times already this season for Stevenage!

Maybe lack of training time with the squad (although has played with a good few of them at his time at Swindon) and we'll see better from him as the season continues

how many starts and minutes on the pitch though???

Think we should put the Joe Taylor thing to bed now as we have as much chance of signing him as Hopper scoring! Ok, a slim chance but VERY, VERY unlikely!

Need to concentrate on another Taylor that is nursing an injury that has scored 7 in 20 league appearances for The U's!
