I have supported QPR for over 50 years , have been a season ticket holder for more than 30, have put money in buckets but with a 5 hour round trip to get to Loftus Road i feel that the time has come to stop. The players are who and what they are and whilst i have carried on about the new signings being way below par for this division my real problem is the way the club is run and the constant mess over the past few years that those who make the decisions have created. There is little point in saying this one or that one is useless as pretty much collectively they have all let the club down. I think the current side is one of the worst i have seen and this has been created by a management team from top to bottom that are clearly totally somewhere between inept and inexperienced . At last Karl Ready etc gave their all. This lot are just annoying. So i am going to give it a go and give up my support and see if it is possible. A shame but as my wife said last night you just come home in a bad mood because of a football match , why bother. I just feel from Marti upwards we are currently a ship without a sail. So we will see if this addiction to QPR which has been for most of my life is as easy to give up as smoking! |

....for league 1. I have seen every game this season and in my view we are currently bottom of the league and that is our correct position. I have said for weeks that Madson,Anderson, Celar are nowhere near good enough for this league. Fox made two horrific errors to lose us the game but Madson was worse than him. Marti approved the buying of all the new players and is looking to play a system which the players are not good enough for and in addition we make terrible errors at the back are completely out of our depth in midfield and simply cannot score when given an opportunity. Portsmouth are very poor and we are worse. Whoever thought a number of these new players would make it in this league should be sacked. Last year Ainsworth was awful but the players as a unit had enough to survive. This year I don't think we have any chance playing this style with league1 or maybe even 2 players. Shout out fir Frey who worked hard all game. Madson is worse than Dozell which is frightening and Fox today must have had the worst game of his career. Personally i think we are getting worse each game and something has to happen fast. Last year Marti was able to with a limited but ok squad. This year he gas been a large part of bringing on players who simply are very poor. I really see no way out after 10 games. We are truly awful. |

That is fine to stay i haven't given them much of a chamce. i think the thread is about how long would you give them. For me 10 games gives one a reasonable idea. For you? |

It was Marti who asked for the players he got. He made the fundamental error of thinking he could do something different in this league. He is responsible for this mess and in his own words is very stubborn so is continuing with a style that simply does not work. He created it and if he dies by it that is his fault. Anderson, Madson, Celar, Santos, Varane were a waste of money and in my view will all disappear from the club within 18 months. Personally i would give Marti 3 more games but if he doesn't change i don't see results will and they never will with the squad he has formed and the style he wants to play. The problem is all of the clubs making and once again we find ourselves in a situation caused by a poor transfer policy. Belk should probably move on too unless he has a very good excuse. |

He points out the problems very clearly in his interview. We have signed a certain style of player etc. unfortunately they are not the style of player required in the Championship unless they are very good not bang average. He has created the problem by totally misunderstanding what this division is all about. He chunters on about different styles of play but doesn't seem to realise what he bought is not good enough to compete against the strong, determined typical Championship player. He asked for a type of player and got it partly i am sure because Nourri doesn't have the experience to say that wont work here . We are bang in trouble . All an opposition has to do is close us down fast, get in some strong tackles and we can't cope. Marti worked with what he had last year to great effect. In the summer he had the chance to mould a team in his vision but unfortunately that vision was completely misguided. We pin our hopes on Chair, JCS and even Fox all last years players. Never a mention of a new signing being a hope bar Nardi. Madson , Santos, Varane all weak and unable to cope with the physicality. Dembele and Saito and Celar in the same category, This is a physical league and we signed powder puffs. |

Marti chose these players. He was very demanding about what and who he wanted and he got it totally wrong and in my view we are in a worse place now than under Ainsworth. With him the tactics were all wrong with Marti the players are all wrong and that is a real problem. Plus in League 1 these players will also be too weak |

I will get shouted at for this but it was Marti who pushed for these signings. They are in the main not of the style or quality required for the Championship. He is the one who appears to have screwed it. People say it is way to early but we are 20% thru the season and we have a big problem simply as we wasted a transfer window again.We all had hope at the start of the season and now we have a manager who is clutching at straws. Lose against Portsmouth and the pressure is on Marti. At the moment he seems completely out of ideas and has clearly messed up on who he has bought in. He has created the problem to which there appears little solution |

And this thread seems to say wrong players bought and wrong tactics. Result will be a disaster unless someone wakes up to what seems obvious to people on this board. I also dont agree on Field. He is left isolated as the rest of the midfield bar Colback seem simply scared of making a tackle. This division is not fancy and frankly Marti needs to wake up to that pretty quickly. We nor he can afford 3 or 4 more games without a win. |

I think after 8 games you do have an idea about the quality of the team and from that you can deduce where we might end up. You have one camp saying oh these players are just bedding in and the other saying look after 8 games you should have come up to speed. I just dont know how long people think bedding in takes. No other team has our issue seemingly. Only QPR need 10, 20, 30 games for a player to bed in, it is nuts. Anyone can make a tackle, be strong, be determined, control the ball, make a pass, mark their man. It really isnt rocket science. problem is we sign a whole load of players who simply do not have those attributes. varane the great box to box midfielder seems to run around scared and passes backwards all the time, Madson very cool but doesnt get stuck , Santos backs off his man and leaves way too much space between him and his opponent presumably as he has no confidence he wont be beaten, Celar simply weak and the chances he has had he has messed up. We signed the wrong players and Marti is trying to play a game where the opposition know exactly what to do, get amongst them as they can't handle it. Such a waste of a summer after last year's fantastic effort. |

This time last year we had 8 points 1 more than currently. Everyone was going mental and now it is just they are bedding in and they are good players. Well other sides have good players too and they are clearly better than us! Once again we have bought in the wrong type of players. Marti maybe wants to play like Pep but it doesnt work in this league especially with the quality of player we have. Watch the ball control. So often the players can't control the ball immediatley and it moves a couple of feet from their body and possession is lost. Field said Hull was the best we had played all season and we lost 3 - 1. The expectation was that Nourri would get together our buying and we would stop buying duds. it hasn't happened . Loads of teams have players 'bedding in' and none are as poor as we are. The next couple of games i feel are quite important. Crowds turn and having had to put up with Millwall, Blackburn and Hull i don't think that day is far away. We need a win badly and another loss or two potentially dropping us to the bottom of the league will start a lot of pressure. Marti says keep believing well at some point that has to turn into winning games and not being mauled by such as Millar and Cantwell and most of the rest of all the sides too. |

I am not blaming the players i am blaming those who buy them. If Celar doesn't suit the system why buy him? If you need a box to box midfielder why buy Varane [ always passes backwards] or Madson. For seasons now we seldom seem to buy well. 6 months by the way takes us to March which is a little late dont you think!! And Anderson i am afraid for me i said on game 1 he was making too many errors and so far that seems to be right. Last night his lack of control let in their 2nd and his header early on was straight down to the keepers gut, the only place it could be saved and then he had an open goal 10 yards out which he fluffed.
I am not righting off Saito or Dembele or Nardi i just wonder why we signed such as Santos who was clearly taken apart by Millar who is a good player but hardly brilliant. |

... when we have had a good look at other teams and can judge where we are in comparison. And the answer is are there 3 teams worse than us in the league? Hull are probably a top 10 maybe top 6 side and how many of our team would of even made their bench. Maybe a couple no more. To me in this division when you buy a player you are looking apart from football skills for speed , attitude and strength. Santos, Madson , Celar , Anderson [ especially he is dreadful] why did we buy them? I just dont understand our transfer policy. Who is in charge of it and why do they buy players who clearly are not suited to the intensity of the Championship. Celar people say is not suited to our system so why buy him. He looks completely useless to me. Unless something really is going on with Kohli why not give him a go , he cant be less effective than totally ineffective.. Anderson is a liability. Most games he makes a dreadful error and misses a sitter. Last night was a prime example. And compare Millar with Smyth or maybe don't. And Santos with any of Hull's back four . And the list goes on. Marti says keep believing and that belief can go no further than i hope we can stay up. It is so frustrating that every year we buy so many very poor players . Why is someone not answerable? |

Signings are what make the difference and they have fir us. Once again we have made ourselves worse not better. Can someone ease tell me what Celar offers? And why does he play Anderson who is a walking liability. Nardi is good. Dumbele looked like he was going to be great but last 3 games he has been poor. Are there 3 worse teams than us? It is difficult to see. Whoever picks the players we sign should be sacked |

As Pep says it is what you do in the boxes that matters. Up front we have no delivery and in Celar a really weak optoption. At the back Santos and Paal having a lesson . Bottom 3 by the weekend and if this is all we have got League 1 next year. I just don't understand why we bought all these weak players. The championship is a lot about strength and commitment of which nearly all the new players have none. People talk about let them bed in. How long do people want? We are dreadful that is the truth. |
