Instead, let Varane charges forward while Field sits back doing his shielding job. Beale tried playing Field in a more advanced attacking position and Field was very uncomfortable going forward. |

Compare the starting XI with last season this time: Beale started with Shodipo, Adomah, Kakay while Willock was injured and Tim and Laird had not yet been brought in. Now Ainsworth has some prem experienced/quality players like Begovic, Cook, Collback, Willock, Field and Chair.
If the manager is Warburton or Beale, what will be the result and response? The positivism only reflects people’s low expectations or hopeless for Ainsworth’s capability. |

Ainsworth is so limited and didn’t learnt his lesson from the last three games:
1) played 4 at the back this afternoon vs three CBs last Saturday, the players were more comfortable with three at the back and more organized with better intensity;
2) played Field in Wednesday’s game risking an injury and fatigue (also increased the possibility of injury) as Sam Field is so important in the team.
In addition, what’s the contribution of the newly hired performance Director regarding the fitness level and injuries of the players? |

It’s wrong to change from last Saturday’s formation of 3-4-2-1 as the players were more comfortable with three at the back. |

Smith was more effective in the wingback role as last week.
