Could someone help me out with what formations we're playing these days? I'm trying to keep up with watching the games when they're available to stream and listening on the radio when they're not, but not seeing us play so often I'm not quite getting from the team selections who's fitting in where. Are we playing 5 at the back with Naughton as a CB or is he in some kind of sweeper DM role? Likewise where are Routledge and Byers playing? Surely we not still relying on Wayne as a winger with his (lack of) pace these days? Has he been moved more into midfield and Byers on the wing? And when I get to see us on TV, Grimes often seems to be playing something like DM/left back...? Would appreciate some insights from those who've seen more of us this season. |

I want to see more of Yan Dhanda in the first team asap, from the little I've seen the boy looks quality. |

I know, imagine the guy who scored more goals than anyone else in the premier league in 2014 getting hyped. Bizarre! |

Watching Hudds tonight just shows up everything we've been missing. Fight, heart, team spirit, determination. They deserve to stay up playing like that. |

I heard it's only known as the "China Cup" over here for reasons of decency. In China its real name is Chu Galswon Cup. |

I'm perfectly happy for Kane to be out this Saturday, but tbh I'd rather he was available for the league. We need Spurs to hammer WBA and Stoke at a minimum, Brighton and Watford could be helpful as well. And it's given me a Fantasy Football selection headache. |

It needs a few adjustments to make it work. Firstly the replays need to be on the big screen like they are with rugby to make it clear to the fans what's going on (only obvious exceptions to this would be if someone has suffered a nasty injury as a result of the incident). This involves the crowd and it becomes part of the match experience. Secondly, only decisions where the ref gives a penalty should be automatically checked if there's any question over what happened. If penalties/free kicks are not given or goals questioned, each team should only be allowed one VAR challenge (per half or per game I'm not sure, but it's got to be limited) and it can strictly only be requested by the captain. Only other circumstance that springs to mind is if any official other than the ref sees an off the ball incident and the ref needs to review it. These tend to be violent/misconduct issues and need to be dealt with, but these are relatively exceptional and shouldn't slow things down too much. [Post edited 12 Mar 2018 9:52]

No what Andre does is different to Alli. He frequently puts himself in situations which he might not be able to get much from himself, but panics defenders and forces the foul. Another good example was away to Everton when he chased down Stones' sloppy backpass. Even if he'd got the ball his shooting angle would probably have been too tight to score, but it panicked Howard into fouling him and we got a penalty. We've been missing that nous big time since he left. |

This - no weak link today, we are playing for each other as a team, not a bunch of individuals wearing the same shirts. Just imagine we'd been this good all season... |

I think Dyer's one of the few who's actually been trying. I'd keep him on, take Routledge and Abraham off and stick on Narsingh and Ayew. Keep the third sub back for now in case of injury. Abraham is disappointing me more and more as the season goes on. (Hopefully now I've said that he'll get a hat trick) |

F*ck me, that was dreadful. Let's hope Carvalhal learns from that debacle now and doesn't do it again. Oh and consider playing Roberts instead of Naughton next game, that was the performance of a player who knows he's got no competition for his place. |

Ah, thanks I didn't know that! I knew they could switch allegiance between playing U21 and senior, I thought once they were capped for the senior team they're locked in for ever more. |

The ridiculous England call up was just an insurance policy for England though. Tammy was making noises at the time about possibly playing for Nigeria, so England called him up mainly to lock him into their setup. They'd kick themselves otherwise if he turns out to be a star in the future. |

Cheers, I was looking at the table on my phone last night so it didn't display the full For & Against columns. Now I've looked at the full tables, I see we currently have the lowest Goals For total (20) in the entirety of the top four leagues. That's shocking! |
